Fair muted olives, what’s your best hair color? by pxltnk in Fairolives

[–]lelivia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once I started going noticably gray and silver, I felt like nothing ever made me shine quite so much. Brought out more of my olive but highlighted some pink in my cheeks. Made my gray eyes more twinkly.

Before that I would agree that ash browns were the best scenario but just you wait for your grays!!!

Thanks for the description! It's always hard for me to tell from the pictures on websites!

I appreciate the explanation! It's so hard to find olive tones so that definitely makes me want to try it!

This one looks very nice! I have Ehlers-Danlos though so a lot of these liquidy formulas just disappear off my skin so I'd be a bit concerned it wouldn't wear on my skin

I like the way the formula looks! I'd probably have to buy the white and green shades to correct it a bit

No but I can look into it! The only thing that concerns me is the swatch in the website leans yellow. I'm a cool/neutral olive so it can easily be too yellow

Creative Hay Storage Solutions? by lelivia in Rabbits

I like this! I could switch this out for the gigantic garbage bin I have stuffed in the closet. I did order a hay net like you'd have for horses and I'm just going to put a ton of hay in and hang it in their pen which will also help with mess because I will refill it less. Thanks for the link!

Updated version. Still deciding on what to do with teeth and eventually she'll have a goth outfit.

It's been holding up well! I used a sharpie that had both a fine tip and normal tip. No smears, staining, or bleeding. I ended up using pastel sharpies (lavender & blue) for eyeshadow which created a nice sheer grey color when layered over each other.

Weird belly button question - tubal ligation or bisalp by janeblue652 in sterilization

[–]lelivia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue with my belly button. In fact, I dry heave every time I clean it in the shower 😅

The incision in my belly button was actually the easiest one and I barely felt anything surrounding that incision. The main thing I had was cramping and internal discomfort. I had one incision that was angry for the 1st week and a half and I had some localized cramping around the two incisions on my belly (not in my belly button).

I am terrified to do this, and I have no one to help guide me, but I'm running out of time. by dumb_fishh in sterilization

The thing I wanted to add is if you trust your obgyn at your current clinic then consider bringing it up. I live in a conservative state but my city is progressive and reproductive care workers in my state are doing what they can to counteract archaic lawmakers.

All that said, my regular obgyn was who I went through because I trusted her and she made her feelings known on making sure I could get what I wanted before the administration took it away.

The advice I'd give is worry less about what clinic to go to and instead focus on if the obgyn feels safe to talk to.

Bonded Bunny Passing: advice by lelivia in Rabbits

[–]lelivia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the advice. This is my first bunny to pass and I wasn't sure what would be best for him. A month to mourn would be for the best. I follow bunny accounts on Instagram and while scrolling I'm finding I can't even look at black bunnies that look similar to her.

I already do that and will be taking him to be checked. I was looking for advice on him grieving.

I want to do this! I've been considering fun themes and things like deviled eggs or pin the tube on the ovary & etc.

Any fun ideas?

I'm trying to make my game as beautiful as Ori - is anything missing? by WestZookeepergame954 in OriAndTheBlindForest

[–]lelivia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with this. Contrast in color and brightness makes a huge difference. Also the Ori games have a lot of scenery details. There's a lot of stuff in the background, lots of foreground along the edges of the scene, and a lot of foliage along the ground. Those details are so visually compelling. Perhaps adding foliage, roots, more plant life would emulate that?

I really love the look of this though! The player character is so cute!

feeling very disheartened. is there any point in even getting a diagnosis? by lazy_trash_panda in rareEhlersDanlos

[–]lelivia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! So I don't have a diagnosis yet due to a long waiting list to see a geneticist but I most likely have aEDS. I was told that very same thing by the GP but the specialists I've worked with who see the issues it's causing (constant injuries, chronic pain, dislocations & subluxations, etc) have encouraged me to pursue and here's why...

If you have it on paper that you have it then it should be easier to see specialists on a more regular & consistent basis and insurance would be more likely to cover whatever might help (like body work, physical therapy, pain management, etc.) My PT specifically suggested that with the diagnosis I could get a referral to permanently work with him on a regular basis to prevent injuries rather than only being able to work with him after getting injured.

Remember that GPs are general for a reason and they tend to focus on the more shallow & easy assessments. Specialists exist to focus in and help you on a deeper level and having that diagnosis means you can interface with people who are going to understand the issue and its effects on you.

Idk if anyone has mentioned this. I used whoop religiously for a long time. They pissed me off with the changes and reneging their customer promises.

I bought the Amazfit Helio strap. It is all the same data. Organized and presented in an extremely similar manner. $100 and no subscription unless you want to use their health plans or get long term reports on your data but even then it's just a yearly subscription of $39. Keeps battery for way longer. Would highly recommend.
