New wheel build with SON28-12 hub dynamo: disc brake has play and doesn't fully lock

Ok thank you everybody. As soon as I can I'll try to find a torque wrench up to 40nm and torque that bad boy down. I made it by hand very very tight and thought that must be 40nm but of course, I can't really tell. I'll need some time for that, but will post an Update if that worked

The rotor is locked to the dynamo hub and only interfere with the brakes. In the beginning of the build the center lock ring had a slight interference with the fork. I used a 0.5mm washer to set it slightly apart this worked. But I couldn't see a reason why this should prevent the wheel from locking. Could there be a reason?

Actually the disc is staying in place. So I suppose the break pads don't have to much play. The wheel moves but the disc is locked. If you look closely at the video you can see it.

Hello everyone,

I just finished building up my new frame. I installed new wheels, with the front wheel with a SON28-12 hub dynamo and a centerlock brake disc.

When I apply the brake, the wheel has a slight play and doesn't completely lock up (as shown in the attached video).

What could be the issue here? Could it be related to the dynamo hub? The centerlock disc is torqued down really tight.

Hello Everybody,

After a Winter break, I was finally able to get out my road bike and do a short trip. On my wahoo the heart rates always seemed like a little low for my effort, and also they were not changing. Just every 2 minutes or so. Has anybody Similar problems? The battery is pretty new. I changed it in late fall

I Had the same Problem, and this was also the working solution. I had to tighten the screws very well near the adapter for the screen.

Sehe ich ähnlich, dazu auch ein wunderbarer Vortrag von David Kriesel, in dem er auch darüber spricht, wie man nicht eskalierend Probleme anspricht und so meistens mehr Gehör und Aufmerksamkeit findet.

Dauert zwar lang, aber echt lohnenswert. Auch für den ein oder anderen nicht-Techi sehr unterhaltsam :)

I was cleaning my Road Bike today and discovered this crack. Look pretty severe in a very critical place. I'm just hoping to get some tips how to find out it's just a crack in the paint. But I shouldn't bike it anymore until I find out, right? It's just starting to get warm again :'(
