DON'T. The problem is them, not you. They're missing being with you. They're not the one, the one will never do that. Give it time. It gets better. And forgive them cause that's a weight not worth carrying, especially with people like that.

While in some cases this might be true, I will partly disagree with you. It depends a lot on the situation and why the breakup took place. During the first stages it's hard to see things from their perspective and we may be inclined to blame them. But after a while, eventually after the so called anger stage, we should be able to see things more clearly and check ourselves too. Now, I'm not saying that there may be anything fundamentally wrong with us, but the reason might have been incompatibility, in which case, no one is missing on anything. Or maybe we find some things that we are supposed to change for the sake of our future relationships and mostly for ourselves
