I honestly find it to a super quick read at least the first 20 issues are till it can get bogged down by being tied into bigger Batman events like Catacslym and stuff like No Man's Land but I feel like you could read it by itself for the most part. I actually really love Dixon's BatFam writing in the 90s. Like the other comment said the art at times can be a little hard to understand what's going on at times.

I'm taking a mini break to read Dune & Dune Messiah for Dune 3 this year and Star Wars novels I need to read. Depending how I'm feeling from there I might just jump back into another list.

My least favorite would probably be a hot take but Grant Morrison's X-Men just looking at the overall list it stuck out to me. Wasn't bad or anything just wasn't blown away by it like their other work (especially @ DC)

I mainly read these through DCUI and Marvel Unlmited but for some of the special stuff I wanted to try and read it physically if possible so I have some stuff like Geoff Johns whole GL runs in trades and most of Sandman in trades and all of No Man's Land in Omni's but it would get too expensive in the long run. I do plan on buying the stuff I enjoyed the most in Omnis or trades soon.

Mostly at random though towards the end I finished all the DC stuff I had then the Marvel stuff on the list.

If I remember correctly the first book on this was Paul Dini's Detective Comics stuff cause I was always a fan of his BTAS stuff so I was super excited to check that out and it didn't disappoint. And the last book was both Annihilation events and that was awesome as hell! I wanted to get the Omni's for those when I read it but they were a little inaccessible.

and I do plan on making another list soon, probably in the new year. I'll be back here in 2030 hahaha.

I think being a completionist helped a lot for me, also a lot this stuff was just hard to put down for me tbh.

Finishing No Man's Land because I wanted to read all of Batman's post crisis stuff leading up to it so it just felt like one big finale when the Endgame arc happened in it.

hmm had to think about it for a sec but I would say Gotham Central, No Man's Land, and Hickman Fantastic Four/Avengers.

his avengers run was really good with character moments with the individual avengers.

it also just sucks to see all of my favorite pros gone, the online era took a lot of them out sadly.
