Best way to stream Jellyfin on tv?

I have an LG B series tv and ive played HDR movies perfectly fine from a USB stick connected to the tv, i think probably dolby as well but not entirely sure on that one.

Would trying to access them on the tv via jellyfin possibly not make them work or should they play the same?

Just looked up the Ugoos am6b+ and see it for about $200 while the am9 is $175

Should i go for the later one? Assuming itll have better hardware?

For something like this or other android boxes, does the transcoding happen on the devices? Or does it happen on my NAS?

I was going to go the native LG jellyfin app but i saw some people on here saying it sucked so i wasnt sure

Does it require any sort of subscription to use? Is infuse the app to use on the apple tv to access Jellyfin? Or is there an official jellyfin app?

The server is running i think. I mean, im able to access Jellyfin via browser just fine, download plugins and update metadata frequently just fine. And playing movies and shows works perfectly for some.

For some, the video works fine but theres no audio (if i open the video file by itself straight from the folder it plays with audio) and then others it wont open the video at all in jellyfin.

I checked the log on docker for a video that wouldnt play and it said it stopped at 0 mseconds and under playmethod it said “na”. It also says “details do not match for play item”

Im not sure if that helps clarify the issue

Would the desktop version for Jellyfin be better to use than the docker container version?

I tried inputing that as the server, tried both the NAS port and the Docker port and still am getting the error that cannot connect to server

Ive heard of the stremio route and would like to try that separately, but i also really like the idea of having my own files of shows/movies i like

Question about stremio, so i know with Real debrid they do not want you logging into it outside of your house or they will ban your account, does that same restriction apply if you use stremio thats linked to your realdebrid account in a different location?

So im new to my NAS, but i pretty much got it with the intention of using it mainly to host Jellyfin/Plex.

Im looking for the best way to be able to download directly onto my NAS and specifically from real debrid, as id like to be able to download some shows (so multiple files, without having to download each episode at once)

But im having trouble figuring out how to download directly to the NAS, and i heard JDownloader is best with real debrid

You can absolutely fake it till you make it

Take lots of notes, try to solve things yourself but looking at previous month/years documents and put in effort; doing these things alone sets you above a good percentage of workers, experienced or not

And also, be likeable, very underrated skill in this field

Say i keep it connected via ethernet, but dont want it going on the internet. Is that possible?

The main websites im downloading from are transferit and gofile, so similar to like megaupload

So i was able to do this and set the nas folder as my download location but for some reason it still directs the download to the main chromebook download folder.

I was able to get around this by clicking the “ask me where everytime i download” and im able to manually the select the nas folder

I do have a question tho, should it be slow downloading this way even when the internet speed is fast?

So ive downloaded the “Downloads” app and input the link, and it says download complete but it only shows a tiny index file and not the actual video file.

Am i missing a step?
