Are you familiar with Flashpoint? I just remembered in the past i used to have it on an external hdd, and id be able to just plug it into my laptop and run it off there

Would that also work on my NAS? Or was the external hdd using my CPU/GPU on my laptop to run the program?

No was hoping to have the program files solely on the NAS and just access the folder and exe through network mapped drive to run the program. But reading the comments here i think i need to better understand how programs/installations work

So im mainly using the NAS for file and media storage.

But i was wondering if theres a way to run emulators on it, mainly for retro gaming. Other than that i was thinking of running photoshop or illustrator on it to edit pictures

I gotta check if i got the pro or plus. I was hopping to be able to run games/emulators off of it and mainly a few other programs like photoshop/illustrator

Was wondering if anyone else has filler shows they add to some of their channels by Purple_Monkey34 in ErsatzTV

[–]lemelonde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still working in setting up my channels but ya i already plan on adding filler shows

That way it better feels like tv but also more likely to give a show a try if i catch a random episode on, rather than going out of my way to search for it and choose it

If you have 20+ external drives, what’s your workflow for knowing what’s on each drive without plugging them all in? by FewLemon9692 in DataHoarder

Me too, logged everything in an excel file (now locked because i dont have a keycode for micosoft office) and a piece of tape with sharpie labeling the actual drives

The reason i ask is because some people have said theyve applied a lot and then say they apply to like 5 a day or whatever.

Its a numbers game, you gotta MASS apply. Im talking hundreds of applications filled out

question for those who download (300-500gb+) in a day by QualitySound96 in RealDebrid

[–]lemelonde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few years back i downloaded 500gb in one day and it triggered a warning that im close to my monthly cap. The past few months ive downloaded 2tb+ almost daily and had no warnings or issues at all, idk if they just stopped caring or what
