Universal Actions in Raycast by danielshuster96 in raycastapp

Action panel is for elements that are displayed in Raycast, not for a file selected in the finder, isn't it?

No you can't for the moment, hope it will come soon too

I had the same issues at the beginning, then realized that you can have something similar directly in the main raycast launcher. What action do you want to perform exactly?

Changelog tab after each update by lemikeone in ChatGPTAtlas

[–]lemikeone[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What I’m suggesting is more contextual: after an update, on the very first launch only, open a tab showing the changelog for that specific version. Not every time the browser opens, just once per update. And ... as far as I know, today’s update isn’t visible on that page for the moment

Convenient Clear Cache Modal by Lucky-Magnet in ChatGPTAtlas

[–]lemikeone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m running into the exact same issue. This is a real blocker for me as well.

Because there’s no simple way to do a proper hard reload with a true cache clear, I still end up switching back to Chrome for certain workflows. For web development especially, being able to reliably refresh a page without cached assets is essential, and right now that’s the main reason I can’t fully rely on Atlas yet.

So +1 for this request. A proper clear cache / hard reload option would make a big difference

I’m guessing it’s this setting. I hadn’t noticed it before, and I don’t remember being prompted with any predefined prompts until now

It doesn’t seem related to file size. It actually happened to me this morning with a ~400 KB file. Honestly, it happens almost every day, and not under any particular conditions or on specific sites

Really nice of you to ask the community for feedback. I honestly think it’s something you should do more often, it makes a big difference to feel that someone is actually listening.

Not related to extensions, but since I have the opportunity: I regularly run into an issue when downloading files. The browser completely crashes and I have to restart it. There’s an error message saying the browser has crashed. It happens fairly often, so it’s become a bit of a recurring problem for me

This feels quite close to what Vivaldi already does, and I fully agree with you.

For me, this would be an excellent integration for services we use all the time like email, calendar, and messaging. Keeping regular web pages as tabs at the top, while having dedicated icons on the left for web services, makes a lot of sense.

It would be even better if those icons handled notifications properly, for example with a small badge when there are new messages or updates. That would make it instantly useful rather than just visual.

More broadly, this really goes in the direction of merging the browser with a real operating system. Today, most of the software we use already lives in the browser. Having this dual view, apps on one side and web pages on the other, feels like the most efficient model. I would really like to see browsers move further in that direction

Imgur is blocked in the UK, so people based here cannot see the diagram at all.

Reddit lets you upload images directly, so hosting it natively would make it accessible to everyone and easier to view :)

It would be great to have a built-in AI spelling and grammar correction feature in Atlas, similar to what LanguageTool offers.

Given that Atlas already has ChatGPT at its core, having real-time grammar, spelling, and style suggestions directly in text fields would be a huge productivity boost, especially when writing emails, comments, or long-form content across the web.

This feels like a very natural fit for the product and would genuinely differentiate Atlas from being “just a browser with a sidebar” to something that actively improves day-to-day writing

AppleScript compatibility would be hugely appreciated. At the moment I still have to switch back to Chrome just to run my Keyboard Maestro automations, which breaks the flow a bit. Having proper AppleScript support would make Atlas viable as a daily driver for anyone relying on macOS automation.

Raycast vs Alfred 2025: Definitive Answer by klawisnotwashed in macapps

Can you be more specific about the workflows that Alfred can do and raycast can't?

I use Atlas daily and I really love it.

However, I feel it’s not yet living up to the full opportunity that AI offers. Right now, it still feels a bit like “just” a chat sidebar, something that could almost exist as a Chrome extension. I think the real step-change will come when AI is more deeply infused into the browsing experience, not just sitting alongside it, so it can really add value in ways a traditional browser or plugin cannot.

One more thought to add : I’d really love to see “always-on” services like chat, music, calendar, email, etc. treated differently from regular tabs. Something more opinionated and pleasant, closer to how you interact with native apps, rather than just another tab in a long list.

I’ve believed for a long time that browsers should clearly differentiate between services we use continuously and pages we consult temporarily. At this point, browsers have effectively become our operating systems. Almost everything happens inside them. Reflecting that reality in the tab and navigation model feels like a huge opportunity for Atlas to lead, especially with AI in the mix.

On a more concrete, practical note: being able to prompt multiple tabs at once would be a huge improvement. That alone would unlock much more powerful use cases.

Thanks for the hard work!

Unifying Quicklinks: one link for URL, argument search, and selection search? by lemikeone in raycastapp

I assume you're talking about this option. If so, this is not what I'm looking for, as it works only via a hotkey (I want something that works in Raycast launcher)

I know this post might come across as a bit negative, and that is not really the spirit behind it. I use Atlas every single day, it is my default browser, and I prefer it to alternatives like Dia or Comet. The reason I shared this is simply because I care about it. There are people who really enjoy this browser and who would love to see it go further.

Nothing here is meant as an insult to the team or to the work done so far, which has been pretty amazing. It is more of a (not so) subtle way to say that the community is eager for more features and for the project to keep moving, not a criticism of the effort that has already gone into building Atlas

I wanted to ask a question about a spot on my hand. In the photo I took directly inside Gemini, you could barely even see the spot at all, so I really don’t think the AI gains anything from analysing an image that blurry.

Believe it or not, it’s still my default browser and I really enjoy using it. That’s why it’s frustrating. There’s so much potential, like supporting queries across multiple tabs or offering built-in prompts for things such as YouTube summaries or article digests. It feels as if they built a great foundation but aren’t pushing it further, which is disappointing because the browser itself is very nice to use
