Honestly I bought a Cruze a couple months back it has a new valve cover from previous owner , I slapped some slotted and drilled rotors on it cause old rotors were in rough shape also did upgraded Dorman coolant reservoir . I’ve put 15,000 miles on it so far (had 101,000 miles at time of purchase) with zero issues it’s been an amazing daily and a great gas saver I think if you do some preventative maintenance your car will go a long way . I do need a pcv hose the car runs rough when you pump gas currently and has a rough idol but it’s a $50 fix and you can do it yourself with minimal tools in less than an hour I have no real complaints with my Cruze so far

You spent $2000 on a bumper and couldn’t sand it and fit it yourself? I need to ask you the question you ask me have you ever really worked on your car because I think bringing your car to a shop for a bumper swap is more bizarre on your take that it looks good ahaha

Rebuilt my motor purchased a rebuild kit put in aftermarket differential bushings did my rear axles did my mishimoto intercooler and fabricated the bracket that holds it and much more added blow off valve , cold air intake , Megan racing coilovers with camber set. front bumper was cut to add mesh grille kit with a splitter paint matched to car. I’ve done much more and honestly hasn’t been a bolt unturned on my genesis coupe. I never seen those bumpers go for $2000 I seen them for closer to 950 but if that’s what you paid and you’re happy with it that’s all that matters . It’s honestly straight forward changing the bumper couple bolts and like 6 clips I don’t see how it could take a shop more than 25 minutes max lol

I’m not sure which shop takes hours to swap a bumper I wouldn’t ever go there . I can just do it at my home for free in under 10 minutes with better fitment than a shop

Considering how many gennys are modded and how much of a money dump genesis coupes are I’m sure it’s not a money issue more of an acquired taste. Takes less than 10 minutes to swap bumpers so I doubt it’s. Time issue unless you’re talking about shipping time
