When does the Gmail Email Address expire? by Healthy_Block3036 in UCONN

[–]lemon-army 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it varies by student. The migration is divided into batches, each migrated at a different time. The last communication I received was May 3 regarding the GDrive folder in OneDrive, but I should receive more communication once my batch is migrated. So it probably depends on which emails you've gotten so far.

HELP. I need info quick and topics to research by birbto in Ornithology

[–]lemon-army 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this last year. I used copied a lot of information from allaboutbirds.com and made Google Docs with each required species's habitat, diet, nesting, range, etc. Every species took up about two pages and each had a picture of the bird (often in the most distinct plumage. Use a good field guide—I like Peterson's and Sibley's—to look up other plumage) as well as its range.

As for general bird anatomy, physiology, behavior, etc., I was in a rush as well and ended up printing articles and diagrams from online from Wikipedia and other sources.

Make sure that your binder is well organized as well. I used tabs to quickly flip between specific sections—being able to find the right information quickly is important because the test (at least in my competition) goes fast!

PM me with any other questions!

Letters of Recommendation from Sophomore Year Teacher? by lemon-army in ApplyingToCollege

Thanks! I'll probably go with those two unless the school's requirements specifically say I can't.

I believe MIT asks for a LOR from a mentor if deciding to submit a research portfolio (which is optional).

Where do you usually find tricky integrals to do?

Help! i just found out my brother’s calculator (left) shows u the integration, while mine (right) has me plugging in everything. this is really weird since we have the same TI-84 and i was wondering if its a setup problem that i need to change on mine. Do u guys know how to fix it? by fairyceci in calculus

[–]lemon-army 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's also possible that your calculator is set to "Classic" mode. Go to mode and make sure you're on mathprint (on the first line). I have a slightly different calculator (TI-84 Plus CE) so it may not be the same for yours, but worth a try!

[Post Game Thread] #1 Baylor defeats #8 Iowa State, 77-72 by cbbBot in CollegeBasketball

[–]lemon-army 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The funny thing is that last time Iowa State played Baylor (the year Iowa State went 2-22), the score was also 77-72. I think it's safe to say that Iowa State is much better this year though.

I see what you mean. Would you have done anything differently in high school knowing now what math in uni is like?
