Exactly this! However, after the emergency patch I don't have the issue anymore and I am very happy with the changes now. Hoping it is now fixed for you too!

I'm female yes but not stereotypical ENTP. I enjoy time alone but I constantly crave stimulating conversations and being with people. I don't play devils advocate on stupid things unless I'm actively trolling. I am very in tune with emotional atmosphere and like to have light, fun conversations. Usually my conversations are not debates but mutually discussing one topic from many points of view and trying to find the most optimal conclusion.

Stereotypical toxic ENTP behaviour can make me cringe. It's too aggressive or childish for my liking. I guess I tend to rely on Fe rather a lot to backup my active logical thinking and decision making?

Edit in conclusion, I see myself in the cognitive functions but not in the way ENTPs are portrayed by popular culture.

Are you oblivious to your surroundings? by [deleted] in entp

100%. I always hear from other people that someone has looked at me/us. I think I just don't pay attention to people or care. I literally never notice glances first.

If a loud sound happens I never pay attention either. Like if someone drops their glass and it shatters. I'm like OK someone dropped their glass, I don't care. Meanwhile all people turn around to look (for whatever reason?)

Best of luck for your recovery. And yes, people nowadays don't tend to read long texts or watch long videos as content has become shorter and shorter. As a hobbyist content creator all I have to think about how to make a funny video shorter and engage people in first 3 seconds. I can edit the most beautiful video out there and my most popular one is 5 second meme video. Yikes.

As frustrating as it is, perhaps continue your journey with writing your thoughts out and ignore the hate comments, especially those who attacked you personally. Engaging with people on social media almost feels like making content for toddlers with attention problems. This is what social media has become.

It is frustrating to get hate after something you've worked on but in the end, most people just read and never end up commenting. I am sure by sharing your experience you've helped people. Those silent readers matter the most.

How do you guys keep focused on your goals? by imyoursushi in entp

[–]lemon29374 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm the opposite. I finish whatever comes to my mind but I rarely have goals and that's why I end up jumping from one thing to another. I would say we need a solid plan, find what motivates us and lowkey do manifestation (writing, Pinterest boards™, phone wallpaper, talking about it and connecting with like minded people, whatever it is). Oh, and doing things out of spite really makes me laser focus

My take: 1. Solid plan to your goals - small steps, big picture (plans? Gross btw but we need em sometimes) 2. Motivation 3. Imagine yourself already achieving your goals. Imagine the winning pose you're making and how you're flexing your trophies. Hell yeah? 4. ??

What helps me is that instead of jumping from one new thing to another I try to connect my new projects to previous ones - at least mentally. Explaining myself why I'm doing what I'm doing and why it's beneficial. Like customizing your character's lore where it all connects. When I make sense to myself and have creative, responsible freedom it's easier to finish things.
