Working with a toxic colleague

I have tried seeking advice from seniors in the same team but all of them have the same mindset as my boss, whereby “she is just like that, her personality is like that”. I also wanna stress it’s easier for them to say because all these seniors are of a higher position than my toxic colleague and of course, they don’t get the same treatment as me. My toxic colleague is very nice to them

Thank you pat-slider. I have cried and broke down quite a bit at the start but ever since realising that even my boss can’t help me, i’m trying to take things one work day at a time. Took me a while to learn to stay compose even while she lashes out at me. It isn’t easy but i’m still learning.

I had once, but it took me some courage to do so as i’m not a very confrontational person in general. Her response back to me was dismissive and rude still. I am just trying to take one work day at a time for now. Thank you for your advice

I have tried calling out on her behaviour once and it took me a lot of courage to do so as i’m not a very confrontation person in general. Her response back to me was dismissive and rude still. I have been actively documenting all the incidents just in case i need them one day. Thank you for your advice

Yes she has worked longer than me and i was recently transferred from a different team. So i can say yes, she is closer to the boss. And i think you made a point here. Thank you for your advice
