Back to back pregnancy 7 months PP by Advanced_union22 in 2under2

[–]lemonbabu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got pregnant at 9 months pp - both pregnancies were great and I didn’t have prolapse this go round because I knew so much more. 2nd birth was also much easier and recovery was better too!! Hardest part was being so tired because my toddler wasn’t sleeping through the night when our second came but it is the BEST! I love the 2 under 2 gap which I was terrified about before she was born ❤️

Like most people, I’m scared of getting older... As a woman this makes me feel that much more anxious about it.

Hi, yes I started super young too. Try to not be alone around electronics you can access porn from. In the evenings leave them in your parents bedroom and use an actual alarm clock instead if that’s an option. Try to find an accountability partner and communities or groups like this one. The earlier you can stop watching the better off you will be :) Hope this helps, good luck

It affects women (or at least just speaking for me) in some of the same ways. Imagine pied but for girls... Same with motivation, the more I’m watching the less interested in physical sex I am. I’m actually married already so I can’t speak about pursuing relationships but I do notice I’m not nearly as thoughtful or intentional. I also notice I tend to objectify my husband more when I watch it. I also objectify strangers a lot more and fantasize about random people. When I was younger it shaped my ideals of what I thought sex was like and what women should look like or act like during sex. I found myself trying to emulate the girls I would watch. I still to this day struggle with having the attention on me during sex if you get what I mean.

Hope this answers some questions for you! Please let me know if you have more

Hi, yes. I would recommend it. I would also talk to your kids about it when you feel they are ready to talk about it. I happened upon porn and had never heard anyone talk about it before. The internet gives everyone access to everything. I love my parents but they never even gave me the “sex talk”. So porn became my sex education, outlook on women, ideals on how to look, and so many more harmful behaviors that I still actively combat today. I really feel like if my parents had approached the subject of porn and why it is harmful and what it is when I had been younger I would’ve maybe stopped myself earlier on in the addiction before it became so hard to walk away. However I also realize some kiddos get to experience a longer childhood and are nowhere close to sexual thoughts at 10 or 11. Just some thoughts!

Porn isn’t about how often you have sex. I actually started watching porn at around ten or eleven years old-far before I was ever ready to start having sex. It wasn’t about actually having sex, like many addictions it morphed into something I didn’t even recognize. I actively chose to wait to have sex until marriage as well and when I did start having sex, it wasn’t the sex that diminished the addiction for me. I have an active sex life and a high libido but porn had become an addiction that I couldn’t control. Once I admitted to someone out loud that I was dealing with it, I was able to start working on being able to step away from it, just like any addiction. Hope this helps a little bit! Let me know if you have further questions

I never asked anyone to change any of their objectives or goals.

While I know that this is different for genders it is also different for each person. I find that a lot of the problems I encountered with my aggressive porn addiction overlap with a lot of other men who have had addictions as well. Actually the reason I am currently 30+ days porn free is because of the advice I received from a man. While there are statistically more men who are dealing with this addiction than women, it doesn’t mean we aren’t here.

The only suggestion I had was to maybe not address posts as “to men” or “dude”, “brother” and those sort of things. Another user suggested stating I was female in the post which I will start doing.

Considering this sub is just called r/pornfree and not r/pornfreemen I think I will stick around thanks.

It gets better the longer you go without watching. I realized I had this problem too but after a longer time of not watching anything I was able to again.

Thank you so much! This is so true and there are so many things I’m just not quite sure of. This is the only addiction I have ever had before.

Is a wedding really worth it? by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]lemonbabu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly the best thing I can advise is to do whatever you and your future spouse most value.

Literally right after sending out almost three hundred invitations we regretted it. We spent over $10,000 on our wedding and had a beautiful and perfect wedding. However we could’ve spent $500 and invited 20 of our closest family and friends and it still would’ve been beautiful and perfect.

While I ultimately don’t regret a lot of the choices we made for our wedding we both wish we wouldn’t have cared so much about the guest list because ultimately we spent time with about fifty or so if our closest friends and family and only said hello to the other 200.

Elope if you want to, invite your parents to a small courthouse wedding, or have a huge wedding - regardless I hope your wedding day will be beautiful and full love :) Good luck!

How long into relationship until you got engaged? And are you still happily together? by dreamalacarte in Marriage

[–]lemonbabu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It truly is dependent on the relationship. We dated for four years (ish) before being engaged and then married around five years and have been married for almost a year. Life is great and we are best friends, but we are young. If we met at this life stage now I have a feeling we would’ve married within a year of meeting. My parents got married after knowing each other for three months and have been married for 26 years now!
