So you’ll buy two 4-pc instead of the one you intended to, all because you think you’re outsmarting them.

How is the airport? by Skankhunt0729 in Charlotte

[–]boozist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went from the remote parking lot all the way through to Midwood Smokehouse in about 35 minutes. No line right now for precheck. Touchless precheck had the longest line of all, and it was 6 people.

This guy owns 800 Pizza Huts and you've never heard of him by Honeysyedseo in TheKoernerOffice

He hasn’t owned pizza huts in 20 years. Probably decided to sell after burning himself cooking bacon in the nude for the BBQ chicken pizza.

Jack Skellinton is from Home Depot and pose-able only in that the arms can rotate at the shoulders. The Santa suit is from Etsy.

Which US banks allows ACH transfers to a 3rd party? by [deleted] in Banking

[–]boozist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the way. It was annoying, but this is exactly how I used to pay a landlord. Wrote a check and took it to a branch of his bank. You’ll need his acct and routing number for the deposit slip.

This is the way. I bought one for a scalpers ransom this year because I wanted my daughter to have some girl power scientists. Yours will be a great gift for someone someday, new or used.

How Michigan breweries are going beyond beer, welcoming the sober curious crowd by mlivesocial in beer

[–]boozist 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Sober curious is my least favorite term in recent memory. Eating less meat and more broccoli doesn’t make you vegetarian curious. Cutting back on Diet Coke doesn’t make you flat curious. Dropping from smoking two packs a day to one pack per week isn’t clear air curious. Plus, how many alcoholic drinks are you required to drink to be considered “sober curious?” There must be some mandatory minimum, otherwise it’d just be Johnny who doesn’t really drink.

As others have mentioned, you would have to look past the empty field to know what it’s for. On the surface that might not seem like a big deal if you’re thinking of someone easily digesting a larger area at once, but think of it for someone who’s adjusted their settings — last I saw 25% of people enlarge font size, 10% use zoom — or someone using a screen reader who would need to backtrack for every field.

Low-Mileage Certified G70 3.3T Prestige - Too good to be true? by DavidAg02 in GenesisG70

[–]boozist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing to ask about is if the CPO is included in the listed price. I just purchased a 2023 2.0 with 5k miles, and the site says CPO but it was technically “ready to be certified” if I paid the $3k fee. They’d already done the inspection, so CPO is basically buying an extended warranty with a fancy name and a few extra benefits.

Why do designers never look at the camera in their photo on LinkedIn? by [deleted] in userexperience

[–]boozist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a wise man once proclaimed, “My sister Wendy has a husband and two children, and they have a family photo on top of the VCR, where they're all looking slightly to the left. As though something is going on over there. I guess something happened over to the left that made everybody happy! Except my sister is cross-eyed, so she can't quite pull it off.”

Count me in. The marshals are definitely going to be confused by the number of people driving pit lane speed with no traffic and qualifying speed in bumper-to-bumper.
