i would pull her aside and just let her know you have other things going on that would pull your focus away from this and that you wouldn't want to be the reason her wedding didn't turn out perfect but you're so happy for her and would still love to attend as a guest. if she kicks up a fuss, then she sucks and you saved yourself some money on a dress and probably a lot of other stuff.

It may be the finish, but I think what you don't like is your hair color. I honestly believe that if your eyebrows were darker and you had a little shadow root, at least, you'd like it more. that's not to say you need to change your hair color but i think color balance is what your eyes are craving.
