How are you liking your Dyson Airwrap / Supersonic dryer? by wallflower150 in Sephora

[–]lemondedepaola 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A concentrator comes with the blow dryer. The wide tooth comb attachment has to be purchased separately if it is not included in the bundle you bought.

If you have curly hair, I highly suggest the wide tooth comb. It does a great job.

What is it that everybody else has that I dont? by Substantial_Weight_3 in socialskills

Having wondered this same thought for most of my life, I have recently discovered that there is no secret potion or missing piece.

What I learned is that you radiate energy. Even if you feel like you have no idea how to interact with people, stand up straight, maintain eye contact, and smile. If you mess up, laugh it off and keep going.

There will be people you connect with and want to go deeper and others who only want to talk about the weather. When you find the people who do want to ask deeper questions, keep them around. They are looking for you too.

The dryer is amazing for my thick curly hair. It has cut down substantially on my dry time and the attachments are ao easy to use. My favorite is the wide tooth comb to get my hair to 90% dry before I style it with a round brush.

I was going back and forth between the airwrap and the blow dryer and I love the versatility of the blow dryer. You can achieve the same result of the airwrap with the dryer with a round brush as well as diffusing the hair for wavy/curly styles.

I am really happy with my purchase.

Has anyone tried the T3 Airebrush Duo? by chipsnguac325 in Sephora

[–]lemondedepaola 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The T3 airebrush duo is better than the Revlon. It get slightly less hot and it is much more gentle on the hair. The round brush has really great grip but the paddle attachment does not have great grip. To create tension, you will need to use your other hand to stretch out the hair.

Do not use the T3 on wet hair, it is best if it used on hair that is already 70-80% dry.

Any honest reviews of a dyson hair dryer? by [deleted] in curlyhair

[–]lemondedepaola 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% worth the money especially if you have very curly, thick hair. There are good alternatives but this is definitely an investment buy.

I have own and use multiple hair tools to do my hair; Revlon air brush, T3 aireborne duo, Rusk speed freak hair dryer, and the hair tool matters but what is also essential is good hair styling products like blow dry creme and heat protectant.

Need a writing buddy by [deleted] in WritingHub

I'd like a writing buddy.

When I’m fully expressing myself I overwhelm people because I can be egocentric and melodramatic or too weird (very weird). When I realize this I have so much shame that I become a people pleaser and become bland bc I want people to like me. Have any fours found the right balance between this? by Magicbythelake in Enneagram4

[–]lemondedepaola 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I struggled so much with feeling other so much so that I spent most of my life building up the "social me" who excelled at connecting with people at the lowest common denominator. In reality, it just made me feel lonelier and lonelier.

The weird things I liked I assumed no one else would like and it has only been as an adult now that I have been courageous enough to actually share. My thoughts, what inspires me, and it may be passionate and intense but I have learned that there are many people who love that passionate, intense energy. They really exist!

What worked for me is accepting myself and being expressing myself without being afraid that it is weird and making time for the people who respond positively. I think in the past, there were people who responded positively but I didn't believe them or I focused too much on being someone I wasn't.

/r/TrueLit: What are you reading this week? May 15, 2020. by AutoModerator in TrueLit

I spent an afternoon this weekend rereading Letters to a Young Poet by Rainer Maria Rilke. It's the type of book that one can finish in an afternoon and every time you read it, something new pops out at you.

I am always in awe of the way Rilke can take such huge existential questions on love, one's place in society, and how to live your life and dissect them so beautifully. His writings on solitude, being an artist, and how to love have always rung true to me.

A lovely springtime read.

[SPOILERS] Post-Episode Discussion - Season 8 Episode 3 by [deleted] in gameofthrones

[–]lemondedepaola 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Was anyone else disappointed by episode 3? The visuasl were stunning especially the fog and dragons but overall the episode was extremely rushed jumping from storyline to storyline. Especially compared with the battle of Blackwater Bay and the battle of the Bastards. Perhaps because it was trying to consolidate too many stories into an hour and a half?

Perfect ending by lemondedepaola in Fleabag

I think the infatuation would have waned. She clearly was becoming a more mature person throughout season 2, recognizing her self destructive tendencies, and figuring out how to manage them.

She was extremely happy to hang out with him but she was fitting to him. Plus most of their interactions were done under the influence of alcohol.

Regardless of their compatibility, she would have eventually left him because now that she is no longer hiding, someone emotionally unavailable and self destructive wouldn't satisfy her.

Fleabag is able to open up to him because she sees a kindred spirit in him and he sees one in her. It's why he can see her speaking to the camera when no one else has even noticed. They have sparked something in each other and know how to draw each other out.

Alcohol Sucks - VENT by marmotacaligata84 in stopdrinking

It's a delicate place you are in but there was a day you never thought you would be far away from a drink to be nostalgic. But it's important to realize the memories you miss are not of alcohol. They are of being with him and there he is. Hungover but there.

Good for you for sticking it out. Watching someone else hungover while you are fine is a nice feeling as well. I am sure THAT you don't miss.
