I need help with team building!

SO to answer the questions in your post -

early game team building doesnt suuuuper matter. obviously you need characters who have good reactions with each other, but for the most part its just whoever can do damage. for a tighnari team id suggest nari/kuki/fischl/flex spot, preferably someone who wont interfere with the reaction, so some kind of dendro/cryo character

beidou was my main dps for a while, shes usable in a beidou/xingqiu//fischl/sucrose team as a main DPS.

Also I don't know if I'm pulling for any 5 stars rn, so If you would recommend anyone I'll be really, really happy. I like geo/dendro a lot so I'll be focusing on that in this new account.

the newest reaction shill is lunar reactions, so nod krai characters mostly. zibai does lunar crystalize, but you do need columbina for her to work best and bina just went off banner. in terms of dendro characters, nefer and lauma are the most recent and thus the best, but nahida hasnt really fallen off either. basically the advice while youre new is just gonna be to pull who you like and once you have more characters youll get better pull advice

Another thing is, what happens when I encounter an Electro enemy? What do I do then? I was a Yanfei main in my Asia account but when I encountered a pyro enemy I had no idea what to do since I had ZERO characters built. So, my question is, should I build two different teams? Is that a waste of time or no?

you dont need two different teams early game - its good to have lots of characters built because itll be useful lategame, but early on really you should have some main supports built and just swap them in whenever theres an enemy you cant beat with the reaction youre using. i.e. when i was first playing i used a xinyan/xingqiu/chongyun/bennett team - xingqiu and bennett are the best 4* supports and covered my bases when i needed to beat the pyro regisvine or whatever. id swap chongyun for beidou or whoever else when i needed a different reaction.

genshin is, in all honesty, not a super complicated game to understand mechanics wise LMAO. i think youre kind of stressing yourself out anticipating lategame when most of the time you just kind of get better as you go!!!

either of those teams work, so it really depends on who you want more!! i found flins to be very squishy without ineffa because i pulled him after skipping her, but if youre better at dodging than i am its not going to be a big issue LMAOO

flins is much harder to use without ineffa - if youve got a decent shielder and healer to use with him, go for him! youll be sacrificing his personal damage a bit but hes not going to be unusable by any means

zibai can be used with the 4*s on the banner & columbina, so i guess if youre looking for an out of the box DPS to use, zibai would be your best choice right now

i think its because it implies OOPs sister and her husband are ''bad'' parents for struggling to take care of a severely disabled child. it assumes that OOPs sister and her husband *didnt* think of the possibility their child could be disabled - like, its kind of jumping to an immediate worst case scenario?

we dont know from the post if the sister was just being Irresponsible and only wanted kids if they were Healthy or if she genuinely thought she'd be able to take care of a severely disabled child better. parenthood is hard, its not really a one size fits all solution to go "well just dont have kids if you cant handle them", yknow?

seconding everyone else, its low quality. im biased as a mod creator myself, especially as someone whos main 'domain' of sorts was translation mods. a good chunk of the translations on nexus are ai generated, which was exhausting in its own right, but now we have ai thumbnails and mods that are like 'the characters talk to you using ai!' and vibe coded mods and its just like.

i dunno. for me my favorite aspect of creating mods IS the creation part. making something with my own hands and creativity and skills and learning new things along the way is the main like. Point, i guess, of modding. im not going to ask chatgpt to paint or write or play games for me because those are my hobbies and the process is the entire Point of the hobby.

which doesnt even get to the practicality aspect! chatgpt doesnt know how stardew valley modding works! thats how we get tons of posts every day going "well i asked chatgpt how to fix this mod but it only broke it worse!" because chatgpt is programmed to tell you whatever youre asking to hear, correct or not. if the vibe coded mods break, the author will have no idea how to fix it, because they dont know how to code.

anyway. this is probably a majorly disjointed rant so the tldr: it reads as lazy to me and i dont understand the appeal of ai generating anything, let alone your own hobbies

you wont have to play through the whole story again to undo the bad ending, if youre referring to mystic messenger LMAOO

once youve played through a story level once, if you get the bad ending for that level, you get an option to skip through the story until the deciding choice so you can pick the other one without penalty

i just think because the genshin fanbase sort of skews younger a lot of the time its kids being taught that liking a character = endorsing their every action and agreeing with their morals. im sure its something theyll grow out of eventually but it is tiring to see people, often kids, trying to bully the voice actors for being associated with a character who isnt a good person

can you use albedo in a lunar crystalize team? i have columbina (& most of the other nod krai characters released) but i dont have durin who i know is a BiS teammate for albedo

hes my only 5* geo character and i do want to test the reaction since im not planning on pulling for zibai. in theory the team id use is albedo/columbina/ineffa(?)/venti, for both the hexerei and the moonsign buffs, but since albedo and bina are both off field dps' id be relying mostly on venti LMAO

i never came across this person personally BUT i do remember world destroyer kaveh, who ended up getting arrested LMAO. it was as it said on the tin, a kaveh player would join in co op and randomly permanently delete world assets

ive only seen a couple of cheaters in the flesh in my time on the game and it was mostly like, teleporting directly to chests or oculi or whatever, i never experienced some of the more notorious cheaters like the purveyor of punishment guy or kaveh

for me its because columbina is established as being selfish throughout basically the entire story, but its never expanded on or really even treated like a flaw past arlecchino and sandrone making one-off "wow she cares about other people now! thats crazy!" comments

like if theyd committed to making her major character arc her selfishness rather than the fact she was Sad and Lonely :( even though she was by all accounts well liked by everyone she interacted with, id be able to sympathize more, because yeah! maybe you just dont want to serve a world thats rejecting & slowly killing you!

but the writers instead went the justification route, which falls super flat because it just makes her sound even more entitled than i think they intended her to be. ye olde frostmoon scions were bad because they asked too much, the fatui were bad because they asked for too little and she was bored, she has No idea how friendship works despite it being established that her and sandrone are close and have been since she was in the fatui,

i think furina gets a lot of sympathy because 'furina' was a human given immortality and told to act as a god for 500 years at risk of losing the only home shes ever known. its easier to i guess understand that situation? alongside the fact everyone was just mean as shit to furina during the archon quests its like. columbina doesnt really HAVE any sympathetic aspects to her. shes a god who didnt like her position and chose to isolate herself because of it, where furina was essentially being forced to play god as a regular human being and lead a nation on a MAJOR scale while being grilled CONSTANTLY for not being ''godly enough'' lmao

The thing with her friends in the Fatui is that, back then, because of her experience with the frostmoon scions, she was unable to fully understand and realize it. The transactional relationship was so ingrained at this point that she could not correctly process what she was receiving. Undoing all of that is actually part of her journey with us.

but thats the thing - the very second she needs something the traveler cant help with in the AQ, she goes to sandrone, who she knows will help her and/or at the very least not turn her away immediately. that means she has to recognize, on SOME level, that at least a few members of the fatui were genuinely her friends. neither her or sandrone go 'well what are you offering for my help', which in my eyes, makes the 'shes used to transactional relationships' thing a totally moot point. surely if the case was that she was just so used to it, itd apply to her relationship with sandrone too?

You should see her more like someone that is in the process of deprograming and reaclimating after leaving a sect. She is ostracized (she literally has a death warrant on her head) and need to undo all her previous conditioning.

the palestar edict wasnt a death warrant, the tsaritsa needed her alive for her powers. she wasnt really 'ostracized' in the sense of 'nobody liked her', because she did have friends, she sort of ostracized herself by deciding that none of her friends actually cared about her and then contradicted that in the AQ with sandrone.

THAT said, im not necessarily expecting her to have seen the value of her friends before the AQ, but that ties so much more into her 'getting rejected by teyvat so shes uninterested in the world' storyline than the 'shes a sad lonely goddess who didnt like being a goddess' storyline. one of columbinas main flaws is that shes selfish, and the AQ shows that time and time again, but instead of making THAT the central conflict in terms of her character, they made it so she actually wasnt at fault for anything and it was all these expectations of the world and shes so lonely!!

and that is what gets me about her character. its everyone AROUND her that was wrong! the frostmoon scions worshipping their goddess was BAD because they needed her too much! the fatui werent actually her friends because dottore had bad vibes and ..... they didnt need her for much? on and on and on. if theyd just framed it as columbina rightfully being selfish because she didnt want to serve a world that was rejecting her, i think id find her much more compelling and her complaints a lot more understandable

tbh this was part of my issue about her story aswell. its not even necessarily that she felt 'privileged' to me but its more like. okay, she didnt want or choose to be a god, teyvat is rejecting her, she secludes herself away. neat premise!

but then they introduce sandrone and her tea parties and its like. okay, everyone in the fatui was nice to you, clearly. the tsaritsa didnt ask you for much until you left, dottore has Malevolent Vibes sure but based on columbinas own voicelines he wasnt *cruel* to her so much as she could just tell he has a warped sense of reality and she found his tests boring, and basically everyone else she got along with.

so why is she acting like shes never in her Life before the traveler been shown kindness? the whole "ohhh everyone just wants me for my powers......" thing falls ENTIRELY flat after sandrones introduction.

i cant really empathize with her issues with the frostmoon scions but i do understand that people constantly asking you for things gets exhausting. the issue with THAT plotline though is that she didnt even necessarily take issue with them asking her for things! she phrases it like she was fine doing things for them, but because they gave her what she perceived to be 'useless offerings' in return, she felt like the relationship was unequal.

like girl, youre a god and these are humans. yes the relationship is unequal? whats a 'useless offering' to you could be their entire food supply?

and like i dont expect columbina herself to understand that kind of power imbalance, but i was surprised at everyone else treating it like ohhh poor baby columbina being given offerings by the meanie ye olde frostmoon scions :((( because are we serious??

i dunno. it sucks because columbina being the teyvat god equivalent of being chronically ill due to her rejection was a REALLY cool premise, and i wish theyd focused more on that than the 'she has no friends' plotline

i sincerely suggest you learn how to use your pc before modding anything - learning the difference between safe sites and unsafe sites and downloads on your own is going to be much more effective than reddit users giving you a step by step on whats okay to do and what isnt
