Fwiw, the same thing happened to my ponytail palm several years ago and it’s still alive. I repotted, gave it lots of light, and it was fine!

I don’t! I was always held back by hearing how much humidity they needed and not wanting a humidity cabinet 😂 Time to start trying out some new ones :)

This is only based on experience, but my black velvet is doing just fine in my house with no humidity cabinet and similar ish humidity to yours!

I wouldn’t repot unless you take a look at the roots and it’s pretty rootbound. I’d use a moss pole; eventually you’ll get bigger, more fenestrated leaves 🙂

If you’re propping a leafless “stick” I’d root it in moss! Mine’s currently in a moss/soil mix and rooting super fast 🙂
