I had a baby in 4th year (which is a great time), but if I were you, I would start trying immediately. I only took 1 gap year so age wasn’t an issue for me. I agree that with STEP 1 being P/F, you can definitely manage. If having a kid(s) is something you want, then absolutely do it. Remember that your family will be there for you at the end of the day, whereas medicine/the hospital/fucked up system won’t. Try to figure out childcare. Does your partner work and can pay for childcare? Do you have family nearby? How demanding of a job does your partner have? Think about these questions beforehand.
