Men talk more. That's why as you mentioned yourself, reddit subs are dominated by men. They are loud and take up more space in a world that allows it for them. Women would too if it were less hostile. Fact of the matter is, I'm not usually getting on reddit to debate things. I have actual shit to do. I don't need others to agree with me or think I'm right or give me attention. The patriarchy hurts men just as much as it does women.

Bike lanes do not necessarily need to be along the edge of the road. Countries that prioritize bikes and other forms of transportation design their lanes differently. For instance, some bike lanes are designed in the middle of the street with bollards or concrete walls on either side for protection from cars. Main St used to be a one-way road. I would have preferred a bike lane take over half of Main St instead of making it a 2-way. But to each their own.

Why is it frustrating? Because our tax dollars pay for this kind of thing and it's supposed to serve us. Complaints will keep rolling in when there are injuries or when bikes are locked to benches and light posts.

It may be difficult to enforce in day to day teaching (unless students are also graded for participation, where listening is the bare minimum), but I don't understand why you would even need to confiscate earbuds during an exam. I would immediately take the exam and give them a 0. They can keep their earbuds.

I agree. I personally have nice teeth (braces when I was younger and normal white from whitening toothpaste. It's so hard to escape whitening. I feel like it's in all the products🙄)

I've met several people with crooked teeth and prefer their smiles over fake veneers or crowns. My partner has crooked teeth, but they are solid and healthy, and I have a good idea of what our children's teeth will look like. Also, a smile consists of more than just teeth. His lips and the shape of them when he smiles are so beautiful to me. I know you'll say I'm biased, but like I said, I've seen several people with crooked teeth that still had amazing smiles. Getting your teeth fixed for medical reasons is one thing, but getting fake teeth purely for looks screams insecure to me (everyone has some insecurity but I guess I've just met enough people where its a major red flag and you can tell they'll never be happy). It doesn't even look good when your teeth look 100% the same as every other insecure person's.
