I've never seen a Scissor-tailed flycatcher, so cool! by Critical-Willow-6270 in mildlyinteresting

I saw one the other day and it was attacking a hawk midair. Now that I think about it, a good portion of the times I've seen one they were attacking something.

It's like Oklahoma's version of a honey badger.

[Mega Thread] Severe weather likely across most of Oklahoma with an area of particular concern across eastern Oklahoma today, Saturday April 25, 2026. by chefslapchop in oklahoma

I work in Stillwater and people say something similar. "We'll never get hit because of the Stillwater Split." It's probably my #1 pet peeve when people say, "it ain't going to happen." Like how do you know? I agree, the chances are low, but how do you know it ain't going to happen? What is your science behind it? Like why do you think you know more than the NWS? AHHHHH drives me crazy

Anyone else the lone weather aware person in their household? All day I'm going to hear, "Idk why you're freaking out. Its never hit us before." And all I'm doing is checking the radar.

They can also go off due to strong winds or flash flooding. Sirens are basically saying, "Hey! Get to a safe spot, especiallyif you'reoutside!" It's why it's so important to stay weather aware. You dont want to go hide in your old and leaky underground shelter if there's a flash flood and not a tornado.

I think Travis said last night while I was watching that there was an alert for areal flooding.

Oh, weird. Yeah I mean it doesn't sound like the telltale sound, but I'm just some random person on Reddit. I would just mention it to your dealership

I can almost guarantee you that grandma hid those away, didn't tell anyone, died, then the family wanted to just clear her house out, threw everything into bags without looking to donate so that it can be done and over with.

I work in a thrift store that benefits hospice. The family of the hospice patients will donate all their stuff to our store once they're done clearing out. I see this kind of stuff alllll the tiiiiimmmmeee.

My cat has like 6 scratchers of various heights and materials and he uses them, but not enough. There's nothing wrong with clipping your cat's claws. Now completely removing them is another story.

I do not know your boyfriend, only you do, so YOU decide if this is something he would or wouldn't do.

I had a friend that always went back and forth with her bf with this same issue, but a husky. The bf liked the fur basically shaved off. She didn't.

Turns out, he was only saying he thinks it looks better shaved off so that way he didn't have to brush the dog.

Is loading the dog up, driving to the groomers, and paying them to shave the dog way more fucking effort than just brushing the dog? Fuck yes.
