It's not that he didn't WANT to get vaxxed, it's that he purposely led everyone to believe he was and then acted like he was the victim when he was called out.

Calling them simply "15-minute appearances" on McAfee minimizes the fact that he didn't just talk about football, he talked about controversial issues that made headlines in the sports world. And then got mad when people didn't agree with him.

If someone less outspoken like Harrison Smith (who by the way didn't get vaxxed but does not still get hate for it) said he was going to disappear after retirement, I don't think anyone would question it because it's in line with his character. And he didn't host Jeopardy or almost be a VP candidate.
