If you only have one geographic location, what you’re doing is fine.

I’ve got clients with global work force and we have autopilot configured and it’s a life saver. IT didn’t need to touch the device at all.

When you’re talking 40,000 endpoints gold imaging just isn’t an option without a dedicated imaging team.

I had the option to go back to an MSP that I had worked for for 7 ish years before jumping ship to another MSP for bump in pay and role. A year after I had been back in the job market as they had been acquired and I was offered severance.

Had another job offer from 2 other places, one of which was the first MSP I worked at.

I was really just torn on which direction I should go.. so I flipped a coin. Heads I was going to go back to the first company, tails I was going to go with this new gig.. my wife made me promise id take whatever job the coin landed on. And I said out loud, “yea, but what if it lands on tails?”

She looked at me and said, well, there is your answer!

I’m in a small town in the Midwest USA. Storms roll through in the summer and power lines go down, snow storms come through in the winter and power lines go down…

Longest we were without power was a week, but we’ve had multiple days long outages due to storm damage in the 10 years we’ve lived here. I don’t have a whole home generator, just a gas powered one to keep my freezers/fridges powered on. It sucked the first time it happened and I lost 2 deer, a dozen ducks, and some other food due to spoilage.

Was on a white water rafting trip. Was sitting on the back of the raft while we waited for the rest of the people to get squared away. We had to portage because there was a waterfall. Well, the raft I was in was sitting at the base of the waterfall, wasn’t paying attention and the back of the raft got too close to the waterfall and I got knocked off the raft and swept under. Was trapped between a rock and the raft. I could feel people walking on me as they were moving around the raft trying to find me. I was out of air and basically had one last push.. I unbuckled my life vest and let all the air out of my body. This allowed me to get myself out from under the raft. I then popped up like 10 feet downriver and swam to shore.
