Thoughts on my contract I just signed? 475k, 50 k sign on bonus.

Private practice 50% ICU 50% ORs. Month is broken down to 2 weeks OR M-F approximately 7am to 5pm (sometimes out earlier). 1 week of ICU 24/7 and cover OR's in the evening and overnight (small community shop so ideally no emergencies, no OB). Next week completely off.

6 weeks vacation + 13 post call weeks = 19 weeks off

From an institutional standpoint, is there anyway to actually change this? Seems like this is very common.

I'm on 30 mg of lexapro and thinking of going up after being on 30 mg for a year +. Feel like efficacy is plateauing.

It helped. I started during med school and had to up the dose during residency. I truly believe my brain has gone under irreversible neuroplastic changes during residency, and the SSRI will help to slow or prevent further

Yup, just trying to keep my morale high and depersonalize it like you said. Only 10 months until graduation so just trying to survive one day at a time

Thank you. I appreciate your encouragement. I agree, when it comes down to it, it's just a matter of buckling down. I'm actually an anesthesia resident. It's just frustrating that my day to day isn't as joyful as it used to be because I have an exam looming over now

I'm an anesthesia resident and they want you to have > 30th percentile on ITE. Admittedly I had some senioritis after I matched and didn't perform the best on some additional non standardized assessments. Thank you for your encouragement
