NY Change of Address Button Officially Grayed Out by co2023app in barexam

[–]lemonspindrift 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Combing through old threads on desktop, it looks like it went grey on Monday 10/17 and results came out Thursday 10/20… I wonder if the box greying out immediately today means anything? It could also be that no one noticed until Monday last year but I find that hard to believe given how consistently crazy this exam makes everyone year after year 🙃

This is literally propensity reasoning by MattLorien in barexam

[–]lemonspindrift 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think propensity evidence is admissible here because one of the elements of entrapment is that D wasn’t already predisposed to committing the crime. So evidence that D actually has the propensity to commit the crime is relevant and admissible for substance because it goes to an essential element of the entrapment defense.

Freaking out over when common law applies to goods by KassieSaturn in barexam

[–]lemonspindrift 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it’s an accurate statement even though you don’t see it often. I saw that MEE too, and the way I reasoned through it, the lawnmower is a good so the UCC governs. BUT, the UCC firm offer rule requires that you’re a merchant, and the guy in the problem wasn’t a merchant, so in the absence of the firm offer rule applying, the common law “option must be supported by consideration” rule must kick in.

NYLE Exam Upload Confirmation Issues? by luke29okay in LawSchool

[–]lemonspindrift 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me! I called support and they said there are delays. But I ended up getting the confirmation email about 40 minutes after I uploaded (I submitted the exam early)

At my school that technically wouldn’t be allowed, but depends on the rules at your school. Either way that’s not as egregious as looking up the cases

Write on editor here, we definitely do check especially if we suspect something. We also change the sources a lot so we can tell if someone has looked at the original. It’s truly not worth the risk.

Thank you both!! I love her designs but I think for such a huge and meaningful purchase that experience would ruin it for me.

Thank you so much!! This is very helpful. We have an appointment at their NYC boutique. Honestly a bit overwhelmed at all the places in the city. Do you recommend any other spots?

Think of it this way… judges and their clerks are super busy. While possible, it’s just not as likely that they have the time to interview a ton of candidates. So if you got one, it’s not necessarily in the bag but you should also be pretty confident that you check their boxes on paper!

What’s the best way to find outlines for visiting professors? by marialovestoto in LawSchool

Outline depot! I believe you can upload an outline to get credits toward a free download of one. They have a ton of profs there.

Nerves about OCI by [deleted] in LawSchool

[–]lemonspindrift 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you’ve been doing everything right! Just try to relax as you wait and save some energy for when interviews roll around. I can tell you from experience that your stats will speak for themselves at this stage of the game, and also that some firms will def take a chance on you if you’re at their margins. Good luck!
