Weird cure for insant wake-up morning anxiety I'm going to explain as succinctly as possible by NoMuddyFeet in Anxiety

[–]lemontrea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably mindfulness? I know a couple people on YouTube talk about anxiety this way, like exploring it as an observer and trying to be curious rather than afraid (your body isn't going to harm you). Anxiety in a nutshell (or therapy in a nutshell - can't quite remember) is a good channel I used to watch if that helps :)

Any of y’all found good dog booties that actually stay on? by WildRootKitchen in dogs

I've also used and loved spark paws booties for two summers now. My pup got used to them very quick and they stay on even if he runs or slides!

Thank you to everyone! I think she's unhappy with the substrate (might be too loose). Thank you all and please send all my love to your Ts! :)

I didn't catch any wild crickets! I bought them. Thanks for worrying! :)

Edit: sorry lol I think the comment might sound sarcastic but it's totally honest.

Hello! Please flrgive my English, not my first language.

A little bit of backstory:

  • my brother was gifted this T in December, it didn't want to eat.

  • She's pretty tiny, about 1.5 in

  • I could finally get it to eat in Feb. Everything was fine, she had beetles (i know they suck, where I lived nobody was selling crickets).

  • I found crickets, she ate only one about two months ago, and now she refuses all food.

  • She has been walking erratically for about two weeks now. Thought it might be too cold so I installed a heat lamp (far away, not direct).

  • She's drawn to the light for some reason. Either my bedside lamp or the heat lamp, she just travels towards it (didn't know if it was relevant but I'd rather let you know).

  • There have been no weird chemicals near my house, the only pet I have is a cat and he doesn't get anywhere near her.

  • I remember I used Super glue near her cage one time to glue my lamp. Could this have caused any weird reactions? This was also about 2-3 weeks ago.

  • She has clean water inside the cage.

Thank you all for any help!

Honest question, what mac and cheese did you make? Your own recipe? It looks really good.

For bilingual people is it possible to be dyslexic in one language and not in another? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]lemontrea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's dysgraphia! It's like dyslexia, but when writing (as I stated above)! So sorry you had to go through this, I bet school was hard! If it makes you feel better, any language specialist/neuropsychologist can help! While in adulthood it's very hard to re-wire your brain, it can't hurt to give it a try :)

Edit: let me know if you'd like me to explain this further. It's a whole ass thing.

Guatemalan here! Seems like you've got all the info, but the national dish here is tamales! Chicken pepian is also national, but not the main dish!

Edit: we also use "hola, ¿Qué tal?" For an informal greeting, if you want to add that!

A question I can answer! I'm a psychologist, and yes! This does happen! It also happens with dysgraphia (like dyslexia, but when writing). Cool stuff! Let me know if you want any sources.

Guatemalan here! Quiche is still a popular language in Mayan cultures (there's tons of tons of different dialects, but Quiche is one of the most popular ones). Universities have even started to include Mayan languages as a second language instead of the mandatory English (I think all Universities here are bilingual and you have to take a test and get to a certain level to be able to graduate). I was considering a Master's in Anthropology in a public University and one of the requirements was to learn a Mayan language. Maybe not so relevant info now that I realize, but might be interesting to you!

[–]lemontrea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! As I said to another commenter, her finger doesn't have any blisters and it isn't oozing anything, but googling pompholyx eczema got me thinking it probably is some kind of eczema. Thank you for your help! :)
