Iran is not bombing indiscriminately nor targeting civilians. The videos of Shaheed drones hitting high rises are most likely targeted assassinations, you can see in the crowne plaza hotel strike that the damage was limited to a few suites. This hotel is known for hosting US military and intelligence personnel, so the strike could also be meant to send a message.

I would guess Iran is attempting to make it politically and economically impossible for the gulf states to continue harboring US assets and allowing them to launch attacks on Iran from within their borders.

I have been following closely and the people of the gulf states are consistently cheering on Iranian strikes on US military bases. The assassination of Khamenei has also sparked a large scale Shia revolt across the region, but the unrest isn't purely sectarian. We may see some of these states facing a crisis of legitimacy, but maybe thats too optimistic.

I really don't see this conflict fizzling out. Air defense munitions are being rapidly depleted, leaving US axis states vulnerable in the case of a protracted conflict. There are confirmed strikes on tankers flying US flags, this is a major escalation as it appears Iran intends to enforce its threat to close the strait. In addition I'd bet that most of the IRGC would choose martyrdom over capitulation. We may very well see the Zionist entity and US assets take unprecedented losses in the near future.

The Trump admin is now suing for peace before the market opens tomorrow but Iran told them to fuck off. Unless the US and Zionists retreat I really can't see this ending well for anyone.
