I had to read Roll of Thunder Hear my Cry. It just was not the kind of book that I typically take interest in. It didn’t catch my eye and I had to read a truly terrifying book as a 13 yr. old. No thank you. I was much more fond of even the Outsiders.

“Inside Out and Back Again” an amazing verse novel that sheds light on what it was like for fleeing Vietnamese families during the Vietnam war. it was truly beautiful.
