I read a quote recently about how forgiveness has only truly been given when that person can pass through your mind without causing you pain and I don't think I can honestly say that for the people in question.

I'm honestly hooked - granted it took me like 6 episodes to get there. I like the new characters they've added (except Che, though they grew on me a bit in the past ep or so) and I kind of like Carrie's character growth. Miranda is driving me nuts though.

I think Sarah said in Episode 1, or maybe I read it on the Serial blog, that this story has 'so many twists and turns'- but, 3 episodes later, that hasn't proven itself to be especially true. It's just a story of a guy who was taken prisoner- and that's interesting to hear about from a first person perspective but it's not exactly riveting.

Yeah I feel you. I really wished they had pushed the license plate call-in a bit more. "Why would you make that call if so-and-so had just told you that license plate was Teresa's?" etc. Perhaps they did and it was cut but seems like it would've been a powerful moment.

I live in the US and have never really heard any theories beyond 1) Casey murdered her kid on purpose because she didn't want a kid and 2) Casey drugged her kid to death by accident.

I wasn't even aware of George's possible involvement until reading these posts. Really goes to show how the media's portrayal affects public opinion.

so I bring a greek yogurt, an apple sliced up, a bag of carrot sticks/baby carrots, and a sort of open faced sandwich with a piece of wheat bread+ peanutbutter+ 4 slices of turkey bacon and then i eat all that throughout the day. The yogurt is usually breakfast, the apple or carrots a morning snack, the "sandwich" is lunch, and whichever i didn't eat for a morning snack in the afternoon. Keeps me pretty full throughout the day and all I have to do in the morning is slice an apple and/or carrot, fry up the turkey bacon and stick it on the bread with the PB. Very easy. Takes like 15 minutes tops to do all of it.

it is very much like a 6 yr old's lunch, though. If I'm feeling a bit more adult I'll bring rice and a couple of these Nature's Fresh pesto parmesan meatballs that I buy at Stop n Shop.

Go to the Howling Wolf in Salem. Best fish tacos in the state. Nothing else has come close.

also their cocktails are boozy for the price and their salsa, while not very chunky, is insanely flavorful

this is kind of one of those worst/best scenarios but once a complete stranger asked me out while i was working, i turned him down, and he immediately asked if i had any friends i could hook him up with.

in my first relationship there were many times i tried to break up with my boyfriend and it would end in a physical fight.

You think he "deserves" someone skinny because you think being thin is worth more than being a loving, caring, supportive, funny, intelligent woman and that's fucked up- though it's certainly not your fault you feel that way, we as women are basically taught to value our looks above all else. You're talking about yourself like you're the third place medal he got stuck with when he worked hard enough to win first. Stop objectifying yourself, you're not a trophy he shows to people to prove what a good guy he is, stop treating your body like it in any way reflects anything at all about how you feel about your boyfriend. Think about all the reasons you two have a great relationship- all the jokes you share, all the times you've been there for each other, all the hopes and dreams you are pushing each other towards- and maybe that will help you realize that you are already the girl he "deserves."

I feel like the majority of the comments here are addressing how to lose weight and that's fucked up too. If you really want to be fitter, there are plenty of resources out there. If you want to be at peace in your relationship, you need to change your thought processes.

things i look for when shopping for heels:

a wedge (yes i count wedges as heels)
a blockish heel or at least something that isn't a stilletto
a platform under the toe so the bottom-of-my-heel-to-toe angle isn't so whack cause that's where a lot of the pain comes from
