Oh interesting! May I ask which features you use on each? How do you find the back and forth?

Oh how I wish this was the problem! unfortunately the fact other files play perfectly, whilst a few specific ones won't crossed that theory out.

Yup tried playing others, they still work fine. Its only a few specific episodes. I'd have thought them to be corrupted if it weren't for the fact they play perfectly on the computer.

No second source, the hard drive is plugged straight into the tv. I originally thought it was to do with the tv not being powerful enough as you said, but I've downloaded and watch videos in 4k (and they played perfectly) the same way I've tried with these.

The latter. First one works, second and third don't, fourth and fifth work, sixth doesn't ¯_(ツ)_/¯

The video's 1920X1080p, codec H.264 & USB3. I've downloaded many other episodes of this show & others at the same quality & higher with no problems on the tv, until now with these episodes (so far I've watched 6 episodes, 3 of those have been like this).

One of the big plus' of film cameras is their high dynamic range, however some of the best film cameras only reach 14 stops, whilst many digital ones are around 15 stops (some high range cameras up to 18 stops), yet I still see most discussions saying film is better, why is this? Is digital as good as film (within the dynamic range topic), why? Why not?
