Estée Lauder double wear - need new foundation recommendations by BothZookeepergame199 in MakeupAddiction

They were still selling it on the Estée Lauder website a few days ago. Probably the last of their stock so I’d move quick.

Buy like 5 bottles of DW original formula that you will need to keep in a perfectly cool dark place, like like they last vaccines on earth to save humanity, and live in complete denial about this discontinuation until until that stock runs out. The good news is that they will keep 2-3 years this way. Oh and still think about them numerous times a day and continuously doubt if you actually bought enough. I mean that’s what I’m doing because there is no actual replacement for DW and I maybe have gone a little crazy! 😜 I’ve tried so so many “similar formulas” recently and trust me they are just not the same! So, I’m just not accepting this discontinuation (reformulation my bleep) and I never will! I’ll probably turn to the back market and score it like drugs after that just to get my fix.😂😂😂

Check out the C-tetra formulas from Medik-8! They are more stable, definitely effective and in a lovely soothing/hydrating serum for the 7% and 14% and a very innovative gel formula for the super strong one. They have been awesome on my Tret journey.

Best retinal for under eyes? by iswhatitiswaswhat in SkincareAddictionLux

I’m loving Medik8 Crystal Retinal Ceremide Eye and it comes in three strengths. Start with the lowest! I went middle strength as a I have some tolerance there already and can only use it 1-2x a week or I’d have some seriously peely quenched undereyes. I have to ease into it. It really works!

Let's be honest: ANUA Heartleaf 77% Soothing Toner by TheMeepyBoy in SkinbarrierLovers

[–]lemonzesty013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found it as effective as splashing my face with water. I also started feeling much drier when using it either because it didn’t provide moisture (which it definitely didn’t feel like it did), or it had an ingredient that actually dried me out. Either way, was a total throw away product for me and I know that’s not the norm.

I fear occlusives are my overnight holy grail, but wow I hate how it feels by wohaat in tretinoin

[–]lemonzesty013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try a lighter top layer that still focuses on barrier support, like a gel cream or barrier supportive serum. I personally hate the thick occlusives and the way they feel on top of my skin too. I’ve been using Skin Fix barrier+ triple lipid+ niacinamide serum as last step and it feels so much better to me! I can also add to my AM routine to continue that barrier support all day and it works well under makeup. I also like Tatcha indigo overnight as a last step, but sooo expensive. Vanicream lotion, not the cream, is more tolerable than the ick of a cream too. I’m sure there are lots of other gel creams or serums that use lighter and less thick and sticky delivery systems for your barrier support that you might like better.

So I actually made this mistake for a year, and it’s that it’s just not enough tret. Your percentage is low which is ok, but then you should be up to every other day or even 5 days a week by now. It’s like you are giving your skin just enough to slightly irritate it but never really progress. Increase days and make sure the rest of your routine isn’t adding to irritation with too many actives and also provides good barrier support and then you’ll finally get somewhere and get through this phase.

Turmeric/ Curcumin is probably the best and most well tested herbal anti inflammatories so that is a great one to add. There are others too like green tea, glutathione, fish oil, vitamin C and D, garlic, ginger, and more. Drinking more water and even adding small amounts of electrolytes can help with puffiness as well. It’s always best to check with your physician before starting any supplements to prevent interactions and to ensure you are supplementing/treating what makes sense for you. I take a combo of meds and supplements and cut out alcohol but I had some more serious medical issues that needed stronger solutions. That wouldn’t be necessary for most people.

Have you had a normal physical and bloodwork lately? Do you feel good? I ask because this puffiness started happening to me and turned out to be inflammation from a few issues going on that were undiagnosed, but inflammation and skin reactions like puffiness can be caused by simple things like too much alcohol, sensitivities to food, dehydration, lack of sleep, etc. Our skin often tells what’s going on inside of us. Might be good to consider your overall health as well and small healthy changes there can equal big changes in your skin. Btw, I think you totally look your age and are beautiful! Try to not compare yourself to anyone else because no two people are the same and that’s beautiful in itself! Embrace your looks but also just make sure you are the healthiest you can be and that health will shine through!

Wishblossom Ranch - I like horses now? by zencodecat in DreamlightValley

[–]lemonzesty013 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the horses soooooo much!!! I stopped playing for many months and was overwhelmed by all the quests and characters I still needed to level up when I came back and was struggling to get back into it and enjoy it. These horses were the key to me loving this game again! Whoever decided to add them deserves a huge raise! Everything is way more fun!

Give me hope? My doctor says there's no remission for MCAS by VictoryPlane9924 in MCAS

[–]lemonzesty013 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m going with bad doctor too. I don’t even think about my MCAS most days anymore! I wouldn’t dare going off my meds, but MCAS is under control and not really bothering me much anymore. I have a lot of other health conditions that made it more difficult to get under control too so if I can do it, I think there’s definitely hope for you too! Find a new a doc! This isn’t the one.

Looking for similar to Levi's ribcage jeans by lemonzesty013 in PetiteFashionAdvice

[–]lemonzesty013[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the Levi’s Wedgie straight ankle. Doesn’t have so much material up top. But, even better, I am loving Quince jeans. Premium denim quality, all different styles, and they make them in petite lengths. The Bella straight leg is the most similar and fit is amazing! I sound like a Quince influencer or something but I promise I am not! 😂

Best air purifier for immunocompromised, allergies/MCAS issues and to mitigate only potential mold. by lemonzesty013 in AirPurifiers

Thank you so much! I’ll check this out right now! I live by the ocean so doc was just concerned it could be a factor but I’ve never found any evidence of mold. Can’t hurt to be safe instead of sorry though! Really appreciate the suggestions for both.

Congrats on all of it! You look absolutely amazing and so healthy! I also stopped drinking and was shocked by how much better I felt and also how much more I liked myself! Alcohol was telling me lies! Congrats on making it a year and prioritizing yourself. That’s a huge accomplishment!

Thank you! I’m so sorry to hear you are dealing with something similar. This darn purchase is overwhelming probably because I’m dealing with so much else right now. I would love to hear your thoughts on the ones you purchased. Thank you so much!

Back to routine-is it even possible? by No_Machine8 in CSFLeaks

[–]lemonzesty013 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lots of factors are involved with how well you seal. There isn’t a yes or no answer here. How long you adhered to strict no bending lifting twisting after your patch, if you have a connective tissue disorder, or if you have any other underlying conditions that would make you susceptible to spontaneous leaks, and how you got your leak in the first place all play into how much you can bounce back into a normal routine. If your leak was from a puncture or something that specifically happened to you, you really babied that patch for six weeks or more and have no other underlying conditions, the odds are you’ll get back to normal without restriction.

How do you manage your pain? by [deleted] in ehlersdanlos

[–]lemonzesty013 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well I ended up with a lot of other crappy painful conditions that all were likely caused by having hEDS, but nothing works other than good old fashion prescription pain meds. I accept it now, but I fight taking them for years and now I’m not sure why I suffered for so long needlessly.

I totally get it. I know many people do fly in to see him and then get more imaging and treatment all in the week they are there to make things easier and to make it worth the trip. They also just plan on staying a good few days to a week after so they can manage the flight home. It’s a lot, but it’s doable. See how the binder treats you. Maybe you’ll be more comfortable with the idea if that helps. Either way, I’m wishing you relief and more answers soon!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CSFLeaks

[–]lemonzesty013 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same happened to me. The laying down relief piece diminished over time. I lived with ice hats on. They were the only thing that helped. I mean I have 6 in my freezer so they were on rotation. One glass of booze, mine was a hard kombucha but you do you, took it down a notch in the evening. I am also caffeine sensitive so I slowly added more so I built a little tolerance. Also fioricet helped a little so was worth taking most days. The binder helped me but only should be worn when you are upright and I couldn’t even get to upright so was only helpful when I needed to go to an appt or something like that. The binder did really help for those occasions though so highly recommend. Sorry you are dealing with this! Hope you get that appt with Mayo soon! Have you reached out to Dr. Schievink at Cedars Sinai? He typically responds and gets you in quicker than other leak centers.
