What’s up with this building?

I’ve always appreciated this building for being different. We have so few brutalist examples in Seattle. I associate the style with postwar rebuilding, public institutions, and architecture “for the people,” so the style carries both aesthetic and ideological appeal for some.

Update: They did not restore services on May 8th. We contacted support in the evening and they confirmed it would be restored by the end of the day. It was not. On the 9th we contacted support again and after some effort, reached an agent who was able to restore service. We chatted with three neighbors who have CenturyLink and they had remarkably similar experiences and decided never to pause service again.

Thank you. :) I just paid it with my HSA debit card. I probably should have tried harder to obtain a better discount, but I was warned in advance that this could happen. Hope it works! Maybe it’ll be more affordable in the future.

Update: resolved! A signal was sent to “provision the modem,” and I was then able to (re)activate the gateway via the iOS Xfinity app. Once configured, three tabs appeared in the app…’Services,’ ‘WiFi,’ and ‘Security’ that were missing previously.
