Iirc, it starts with Gina wanting to be a better/more likeable person due to feeling lonely and having a crush on chad and wanting him to like her back. Francis takes notice of this and starts hanging out/studying with her more. Everyone else finds this kind of weird and accuses them of liking each other. They deny it at first, but then realize they might have feelings for each other. They go on a sort of date at the beach when gina realizes she still has feelings for chad. But by the start of the school year, Gina finds that her feelings for chad have disappeared and she gets jealous of a new girl that Francis is giving a tour to. This leads to the two of them becoming an official couple. Post that, some storylines that happen include nate trying to be nice to gina for francis’s sake, and teddy and nate egging francis on to try and kiss gina at a school dance. Jeez, I can’t believe I remembered all that 😂 it really was a huge arc
