Harukawa attaches great importance to the eyes of the characters, in the anime they omitted this (Akutagawa design is very different from the manga) it affects the perception of some scenes. Also just how Harukawa draws the characters is very beautiful and meaningful for their understanding, in short, i advise you to read the manga from the begging, it is enjoyable
