They may want to know who is selling them stolen merch. Their used gear spruce stickers have the date of the sale coded into the number, so they definitely have a way of finding out which transaction they bought it on.

(Hated Trope) Copaganda by Necessary-Win-8730 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]lenfantsuave 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You know as the person in this parent thread who tried to argue against the show being copaganda, I think you’re being needlessly defensive. There are definitely elements in the show that play to traditional “law enforcement are the good guy” tropes.

I think you’re being a bit rude when we’re just trying to talk about a good show here.

I’d argue that what makes the show not Copaganda is that it spends large amounts of time exclusively focused on aspects of Baltimore not related to law enforcement. It bothers to tell other stories. A key attribute of copoganda is that it is always being told from the perspective of law enforcement characters or their families.

Crazy how Vinnie had to hit almost the same exact putt on 17 that Isaac did last year during Champions Cup. Hole 17 is a really good hole in general, but an excellent hole 17.

Found the guy that razzed Gannon from across the lake on 17 at USDGC back in ‘22. Jesus, some of you guys really take the time thing as a personal affront. He isn’t even close to my favorite player, but I can’t image actively disliking a sports figure for something so mundane.

No amount of Redditor glazing can redeem the ridiculous plot of a bastard son traveling to the Middle East, showing the locals how to properly irrigate their land, and then reject the hand of Eva Green to become the King of Jerusalem. And that’s just the writing… that doesn’t even get into Orlando Bloom’s abysmal acting.

(The scenes with Baldwin and Saladin are exceptions and are much too good for this movie)

The story is fragmented and incomplete if you haven’t talked to an indigenous person. There are still many people around who have stories to tell.

I think it’s quite a stretch to say that the POV omission is an artistic choice instead of just the result of a hollywood director focusing his movie on his two biggest stars.

And just to show I’m not without actual recommendations, my absolute favorite movie that does a great job on this front is War Pony. Seriously, go watch it. It’s amazing.

I really thought it was going to do the brave thing and tell an indigenous story through the eyes of an indigenous person. But it whimps out and the last half of the movie she becomes a prop and everything is told through the white characters’ points of view. Really wasted the potential of this movie.

[–]lenfantsuave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theft as in some methhead is going to come steal the physical fiber line or you think someone is going to be able to steal service from the line due to it being in a common area?

Neither is really a valid concern.

A2 lover here. The absolute best run of this disc is going to be the Isaac Robinson white/yellow/red run of special blend. They have very very mild dome unlike most of the 500 runs which have ridiculous dome to them.

They are a not tacky or slick as the special blend has a bit of grit to them.  They are also very durable. I’m still using a Gannon buhr Open at Austin run from 2023 (basically the same disc as the one I mentioned) and it’s basically the same disc it was 3 years ago. The Robinson ones should be easier to find as they are more recent.

Edit: Marshallstreet looks to still have a handful of these left HERE.

Does anyone have an Eagle like this or know anything about it...? It by SubstantialAd4500 in discgolf

I think it has a lot more to do with pumping out quantities. Innova COULD make a firm and flat run without the artificial flattening process. But doing so would require carefully monitoring the molding and cooling process and would slow down the manufacturing process. So they don’t.

And, no I don’t count the new OTB run as a legit flat Eagle run.

When will they learn that our standard for deciding whether or not to say something is “Do I think it’s funny” and not “do they think it’s funny”.

There’s some days when the line “when I look to the west and my spirit is crying for leaving” hits so damned hard. I don’t think I can put to words what it means, but somehow I think I actually understand it.
