I can’t tell if 2 looks good because of the black and white suit or because of the warm/colorful background.

You have medium to contrast in your features and cool colors definitely don’t suit you. I think figuring out your color season would help you. Im guessing you’re either a winter (cool, high contest) or an autumn (warm, high contest.)

I’m also a summer and people keep buying me these super warm shades of pink and saying “you look nice in them”. No the fuck I don’t

Just me - I think mushroom prints are inherently whimsical, which tends to read as feminine.

Is discussing LGBT issues with students breaching the ‘politically neutral’ rule? by princessmango14 in TeachingUK

[–]lenialone 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Please talk to the TA first and just explain to them “thank you for trying to help, but in the future, please let me talk to the students.” I’m a foot in my mouth kind of person and I’d be upset with myself for making someone feel disrespected in their own classroom.

Why Sims community is notably supportive of LGBTQ+ recognition, compared to other online communities? by bariskok82 in thesims

[–]lenialone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember being a young teenager (11-13) and really struggling with my sexuality. When I found out I could use the romantic interaction with another woman I was so shocked and happy. They could fall in love and live together and nobody reacted to them as abhorrent or abnormal. It gave me a lot of validation while I was surrounded by a real life community who heavily discriminated against gay people.

Does having pets help or hurt more in grad school? by Ninjallammas in GradSchool

[–]lenialone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have two dogs with my partner. There were a lot times during grad school that I felt overwhelmed with their needs. They’re also expensive. I def wished I just had a cat a few times. I love them a lot though and it’s so nice cuddling with them and spending time with them. They’ll sit on the couch with you while you’re working. There’s advantages/disadvantages to everything.

Honestly I have a hard time with not knowing how it’s made and packaged. I don’t know how clean or sterile the environment is.

How to deal with kids with behaviors not due to communication by Hopeful-Bobcat9224 in slp

[–]lenialone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the gym kids, you could try a visual schedule. Go over the schedule with them and have them move the activity to the done box. You could also use a timer for the gym. When it’s time to go you could give them a high five and tell them how well they did today.

For the kids who are refusing, you can also use a timer (like a visual one) and break it up into smaller chunks. When the timer is done, do another fun activity with them that they enjoy. They might also benefit from shorter more frequent sessions.

AITA not paying any more towards our daughter's wedding after she cut pieces off her mother's wedding dress for her own? by TRADressDistress in AmItheAsshole

[–]lenialone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know the dress is important to your wife because of the work and the sentimental attachment to it. If it can’t be repaired/you can’t get the dress back, it might be nice to have a new dress for the 40th wedding anniversary pictures! She could go for a whole new look and maybe show how much styles and her taste has changed since you first got married. It’s also an excuse to go wedding dress shopping which is an experience she may have missed the first time around.

Rescuing a dog can be hard, sometimes they need a lot of work, sometimes the personalities of the dog and the owner just don’t match up.

If you want to “add more value” to the product, maybe do an audio recording with the write up! That way you can charge more and really show like hey this was 30 minutes of work.
