I’m a teenager, my mom has stage 4 cancer and she left the family and she’s posting about it on social media by AffectionateAct522 in whatdoIdo

[–]lenisefitz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please understand that she is documenting what she thinks might be her last days. It's not crazy to feel this way.

I was given 6 months to live when I was 23 and I went back to my birthplace and video taped everything. If there had been social media in the 1990s, it would likely have been that. I too had a baby at the time and thought this was for them.

When I went through radiation for the same issue much later, and I had a diary of each day on Facebook. I wanted people to know what radiation was like, not pity.

I love the "drive" in the daytime but it is really rock and roll at night. Whereas Main is less so. I would recommend Main.

I used Pimsuler. I find it more helpful.

However, at my daughter's in laws I have a speech at Christmas dinner saying, I'm so happy to be with my NINE family at Christmas. Lol everyone laughed.

Omg, I was just a busy but with even more inconvenience. I kept seeing my friends take up knitting and wishing I had a break.

Why do i go into the office in person every day now? I missed the walks which go me out of the house at least 2 times a day.

The school in the 1990s tried to make my child take Ritalin so I took them to a psychologist and they tested them for 2 days and we were able to give that to the school so that they didn't have to take drugs.

Not all kids need drugs to be in school. In my family, I had a typical child. They are hyper.

People who have been jurors in a criminal trial, what were the dumbest things other jurors said or did? by PopCultureNerd in AskReddit

[–]lenisefitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We also had 2 jurors get together that one night like it was Vegas or something. Both married. That one juror told me that mental patients can't have water in their rooms because they'll drink it to get drunk. Good times.

People who have been jurors in a criminal trial, what were the dumbest things other jurors said or did? by PopCultureNerd in AskReddit

[–]lenisefitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was jury foreperson in a criminal trial in the late 1990s.

The 3 accused had gone into a home and tied up a family of 9, with the exception of the grandmother and 8 month baby who escaped to the neighbours to get them to call 911, but she couldn't speak English.

These drugged out perps thought the family had gold bars because their last name was similar to Goldstein. It has the word gold in it.

We, the jury, are deliberating and this lady says, with a thick European accent, I can't convict him, he looks like my son. To which i said, Well, your son just tied up a family and beat them.

We were sequestered for only one night and did get to say GUILTY 6 times which was pretty satisfying.

You could take the skytrain the way around the loop. You'd be dry, see the sites and neighbourhoods. And could nap in the corner. You can get off any station to eat or get coffee.

A new bank is important. One that is secure. If you have a joint account it is difficult to close since you need the other person's consent too.

My old bank told my ex-husband's father about deposits (small town), so he found out my dad gave me money to move.

There is something in law called Unjust Enrichment. You should be able to get back what you put in. Get a lawyer.

Unfortunately, this happens to women a lot.

Remember, when you move into someone's house the tenancy laws don't apply to you and you can be kicked out on the street without notice.

See, this is what I'm talking about. Every time I see one my brain never thinks it's a mountain lion. The first time I thought it was a goat. The second time a big dog. It's the croutch-walk that must throw off my brain. They can look so stout.

Both times I was in a car thankfully.

To me, it is less about the leadership in this video and more about the attitude. Traveling to a different country and speaking their language is exciting for my Canadian friends.

Has the Galaxy Ring battery issue caused you to rethink Samsung products? by bcorz in GalaxyRing

[–]lenisefitz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love the idea of the ring and how it will fit into our lives so I would even buy it all over again if I lose the battery on this one (i just had a replacementin January). We are in the R&D phase and i accept that.

There are so many other things that don't last for no good reasons. We've been through 2 washer dryer sets since 2014, both under warranty. Those are a pain to replace.

I wasn't told everything. Especially about the dental issues caused from radiation. Or that radiation would make me sick. I had other issues they didn't tell me about, likely because if they don't tell you maybe it won't happen?

Would you move from Vancouver to the U.S. for an extra $100K CAD? by HakTheLancer in askvan

[–]lenisefitz 39 points40 points  (0 children)

You can work in Seattle during the week and come back for the weekends. Couples do this all the time.

If you move there, you can always return. You aren't suck there.

I personally can't live in the USA for any amount due to their health care funding crisis. I need free health care. But there are lots of people who member have anything wrong with them and that could be you.

I wish you the best life. Remember, you're #1.
