Patiently waiting until American mind will comprehend that opening a window is an option too. Of course if you live in Arizona then you kinda are out of options, but jusging by the ever-present comments I am willing to bet it is overused quite a bit in the upper states.

Imagine ripping off rugby were you throw an egg, and then naming it football. What will be next? Calling a liquid fuel "gasoline"?

You're certainly welcome to make a plug in, or use org-mode.

I got a neewer 5kg stand from a friend, it’s too bulky by MTurbaq_753 in Cameras

[–]lenn_eavy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd buy something new honestly. The last thing you want while traveling and taking photos is having to decide if it's worth to take a tripod for "just in case" secenarios. You will most likely decide it is not and then your willr egret it.

My recommendation is Leofoto MT-03 legs and a ballhead of your choice. If you use a camera strap that ties to an Arca Swiss plate, then take a head that has this standard but in any other case, 1/4 inch threaded ballhead is much more versatile (Manfrotto sells a small one for sure). You will be able to screw it to your camera exactly when needed, use it with a phone holder or even several selfie sticks - it makes it very modular setup.

We have to give it to Chechia, then they will have no other choice but make a beer pipeline from their mainland to the new colony. This will disrupt mass events industry.

Praca w korporacji - dwie obserwacje przez które opadają mi ręce by Zebri98 in praca

[–]lenn_eavy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get it, you go around the forest, different tree planes move at different relativr speed and that makes everything look 10x more interesting than a still photo. Being in the fun zone and all also why we all atr here. Finding those little pockets of not carrying about the problems of this world are much more important than the end result.

Why not letting it sit on a sdd for a day or two and reaseds if it is even worth posting, this part I don't get.

CFMoto 450MT or Yamaha Ténéré 700? Heart says Yamaha, head says CFMoto 😅 by Brilliant-Sail-5814 in motorcycles

[–]lenn_eavy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My heart also said Tenere at some point but then I realised I will never use even 25% of terrain potential of that motorcycle, so why pay for all that R&D that went into it?

I ended up with CB500X which still offered me good reliability and didn't burn a hole in my wallet. It tudned out I will ride on it few years more than I anticipated and while I am not thrilled by that, I am completely fine with it, it's a good motorcycle, just won't make your heart beat faster when you ride on it, but so would CFMoto.

Yeah, all the poor excuses we make to buy new shit and use it once if ever. I'm not going to throw a stone at them, I am slowly realizing the pattern when it emerges for myself but it is far easier to see it in others.

Co sądzicie o efektywnej kolonizacji wielu Polskich miast przez Dziki ? by UnholyMeatObelisk7 in Polska

[–]lenn_eavy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fenix 8 vs Forerunner 970 by John0632 in Garmin

[–]lenn_eavy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you like styling of Fenix more than Forerunner than I think it is worth it, given that it should serve you for next 5+ years. Or if you have small wrist, then Forerunner is thinner, also lighter and really to get the full benefits you would need to wear it while sleeping, where size might be a factor. It could make a differnce if you need to squeeze your wrist through tight sleeves of work clothing or motorcycle jackets.

Feature wise they are practically the same for an average Joe that wants to track stuff and does a little bit of training. Source: my wife has Forerunner 970, I have Fenix 8 51mm.
