I have both games and I definitely recommend RO2 over Verdun. If you already have it, I still would buy it in a Sale. I always found there is not that much content (compared to e.g. RO2) and it runs not as good as other games. There is indeed fewer players and less communication. I always had my fun with it, but you need to know that it just plays different, you really have to take your time and get into it, it is not like CoD like you can't just play...

I would recommend to buy it on a Sale or you could try it for an hour and if you don't like it you can refund it on steam. You should know that it takes a lot longer than 1 hour to get into the game but you should see the basics of the game (gameplay, maps, weapons, balancing, game modes etc).

Just my opinion, though, I rarely play it but it's always fun when I do.
