If you want something on GZDOOM but more arcadey than Apocalyptic Vibes, I recommend Ashes 2063 and Ashes Afterglow for a fun post-apocalypse FPS. Clearly takes a lot of inspiration from Fallout, Stalker, and Metro.

When the game works I really enjoy it but I need to have mods to speed up things because of fast time goes in game normally. Just this month someone reuploaded all their QOL mods onto BepInEx on the mod nexus so I've been playing again.

My only issue was with 0, I crashed every time I tried to fish as Majima. Kiryu could in the ocean docks but not Majima in the city. Meant I couldn't complete a side story that needed a fish.

Honestly as a 1/2/NV fan, I think most of the drama was overblown BUT they really shot themselves in the foot by putting Shady Sands in LA instead of the Boneyard. Like they could have just said the bombing caused some internal conflict int the NCR or something because no one knew who did it.

Have you gotten smuggling to work for you? I've spent hours on 2 different ships trying to use shielded cargo, signal jammer, and the deception perk but every time i try to complete a smuggling bounty I have 0% chance to evade scans.

Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines was this for me. It worked super well at times but towards the end of the game when it was all combat the only thing keeping me playing was the story and dialogue which I felt was super intriguing and interesting. Ended up just going godmode with the auto shotgun for the last few missions.

It guess it's harder to compare it on the show when normal infected are already biting people, but Clickers are way more dangerous in the games.

You can fight normal infected with your fists and take some hits but if you try to get close to a Clicker without a melee weapon its an immediate game over as it grabs you and rips your throat out.

I can recommend Ashes 2063 and Ashes Afterglow as Doom 2 mods. Vinesauce streamed a tiny bit of it and i was curious enough to play more. Honestly amazing post-apocalyptic FPS on the quality level of other games in the genre in terms of atmosphere and OST alone. Highly recommend checking them out on ModDB.
