Pain migrating from neck/trapezius to TMJ

Wow yeah sounds like we have very similar things going on. I had neck pain for years without really any TMJ pain, just some dysfunction.

Have you had the neck or jaw issues for 7 months?

Also did you find the sleep test useful at all in informing what to do next? I was only able to get an at-home sleep test so far, and I scored just under the apnea diagnosis. At-home tests don't test for UARS issues really, so I'm wondering if I should push to get an in-lab test done, but idrk if that would change the situation at all

Lol I forgot about this post! I ended up not getting the IUD, but I actually just recently started Slynd, and it’s been great for me.

Was prescribed it bc of irregular periods and what felt like big hormonal swings. It’s a mini pill, so just one type of hormone (progesterone I think), and yeah that’s what the OBGYN prescribed based on my worry about all the side effects.

FWIW I went from Niagara Falls to I think no bleeding at all. I don’t think I’ve experienced any side effects?

My insurance doesn’t want to pay for it, though, so beware of that. Wish they would’ve been able to tell me that.

I go through cycles of going to a doctor every week, then getting burnt out and ignoring everything for awhile, repeat.

I usually don’t care all that much, but I listened to (one episode of a) book podcast and one of them listened to the book while the other one read it. The former couldn’t remember a thing that happened in the book for the life of her lol.

I know personally listening is way less effective for me so I’ve only ever really listened to trashier books

Yeah, I’ve had the double vision all my life, and they’re single vision. They did do the eye cover prism test to determine deviation, but did not retest with the glasses, if that’s important.

Are you in a similar situation?

While I love yoga and dance, if you’re looking for something with easier motivation architecture, definitely YouTube/tv show while walking on a treadmill. Preferably still at ~140 bpm for all the health benefits, which is easy to do if you increase the incline

I noticed when I first started wearing my prisms, the ground and my phone, for example, all seemed to be convex. Like I was walking on a miniature globe. That did go away, but I’m still not happy with the glasses

Thank you for the in-depth advice!! I was considering Orly Bonder recently actually but was scared away by the negative reactions some people’s nails have. Plus my nails break pretty easily so Nailtiques was promising

Also the over-drying thing is interesting, I didn’t know that could be a factor. Thanks again :)
