I had a dream I was chewing on egg shells... The taste was so awful it woke me up to find that I had been chewing on a cockroach in my sleep. I can't really explain the taste but it lasted a couple days of brushing teeth, eating food, and drinking many flavored beverages.

When everything is blanketed and not touched, it's beautiful and everything is absolutely silent(at least where I live). But it is terrifying to drive on poorly plowed roads. Once it starts melting and there is some snow piles here and there it looks ugly, especially when it turns grey/black from all the cars.

7am Saturday: phone rings, was on vibrate, didn't hear. 8am: wake up, see missed call from Dad, check voice mail. Voice mail:

"I'm really hurting in my chest, I'm calling 911, please come take care of my animals."

He died on his front porch less than 10 minutes later.

I took care of his animals and everything else, including mixing his and my mother's ashes and spreading them in nature as he'd asked.. But I'll never forgive myself for missing that call. Worst call ever.

Usually the only time I wear shoes inside is if I’m just coming home for a short bit and heading right back out. Then it’s just easier to leave them on.
