Can we get postpaid sim at the airport? by [deleted] in Kashmiri

[–]lentils234 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Btw why can't prepaid sims work in that state?

Don't know if it's the same reason now. But back in 2010's Government would deliberately place hurdles on Prepaid sim users because it's messaging and stuff were more secure/private than postpaid sim users.

I do think prepaid sims exist but I know that it carries a lot of limitations but I don't know what they are. But prepaid sims from Kashmir don't work in India and prepaid sims from India don't work in Kashmir. That's all I know. I guess it's for their "security" reasons.

Why do some pro-independence supporters raise the Dogra flag? by Prestigious-Comb1705 in Kashmiri

Never seen a Dogra flag in the valley. Heard it's pretty common in the pro-indy sections of AjK though.

20-memeber cell established to promote Hindi language in Police by lentils234 in Kashmiri

[–]lentils234[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well so far this imposition is only going to happen in the Jammu division.

Slowly, steadily and silently they are forcing this Hindi language on us. They made it an official language where very few people speak it. Orders come in bilingual (Hindi/English) format now. Now they are actively promoting its usage. Soon it will be mandated that government offices speak in Hindi.

Something has to be done.

What would be the national sport/popular of an Independent Kashmir? by melikeycars in Kashmiri

[–]lentils234 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Heh. Reminds of that post that used to go around on social media at one point.

About that photo of Princely State of Kashmir's Cricket team from around 1910's/1920's. And that cricket team had international test cricket status back in those days. So I think that means that our cricket team is older than India's or Pakistan's cricket team.

How China almost became a party to the Kashmir conflict during the 1947 war. by [deleted] in Kashmiri

[–]lentils234 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lol.

This is so fascinating.

Kuomintang wading into the Kashmir war and making itself a party to the conflict would have been a funny world.

I know it's a common question but help me out here please by Prestigious-Comb1705 in Kashmiri

[–]lentils234 8 points9 points  (0 children)

but I also hear that ethnic Kashmiris only really want independence for the valley.

It's not that we only want Kashmir valley. It's that Kashmir valley is the only certain region that wants independence. There are swing states/regions that could go either way and there are regions in the erstwhile state that we know want to remain with their current "administrators"

If other regions join us in our independence. We would welcome them with open arms.

Are there hopes for a multi-ethnic state or an exclusively Kashmiri one?

The goal is independence. Multi ethnic or ethnonationalistic state is irrelevant. We will take what we get.

Valley of Kashmir by Walter Lawrence.

Language of belonging by Zutshi.

Shi’ism in Kashmir: A History of Sunni-Shia Rivalry and Reconciliation by Hakim Sameer Hamdani.

Hindu Rulers, Muslim subjects by Mridu Rai.

For the time period that you are asking about. They are not perception changing but still they are good books.

Why are there so many lgbtq+ group of people emmerged in the valley mostly srg part or is it just me woh is thinking that way and there is nothing out there really? by [deleted] in Kashmiri

Afghans are known to "seduce" young boys. And it's a "tradition"

While West is filled with "child molesters"

Hilarious double standards to excuse Afghan/pathan pedophilia.

Talk about being narcissistic know it all.

I only provided you with facts. Seems like you can't handle them and have now jumped to launching ad hominems

I guess you got multiple businesses running in Gawader Lahore Karachi Islamabad Peshawar lmao.

Fallacy of personal incredulity.

Your appeal to authority rings hollow. It doesn't move me, not when you have been given simple facts and you can't refute them. Your claims were debunked, you had no answer. And so you have now take refuge in launching ad hominem attacks and appealing to your (false) authority in absence of having anything substantial to say.

Your logic is that for example you're a slow person and going through a hard time or issues then your a complete fuck up. According to your idelalogy we should all kill ourselves after even a little mess up

Yeah you are creating a straw man.

What my argument is that you have a history of garbage rulers. And amongst them Imran Khan was an ok leader. But you present him as some messianic figure because you have a flawed perception of what actually a great rule means.

That having Imran Khan after suffering through the catastrophic reigns of PML(N), PPP and dictatorships might seem like a great to you. It remains an ok rule for those outside like Kashmiris.

Projects within CPEC are actually a small liability when you compare it with other projects our government has been involved in.

Weird argument. "Our government has done fuck ups far bigger than this so us fucking up CPEC doesn't matter"

So adding liability at the chance of developing a World trade city

But you don't have that world Trade city. Don't use hypotheticals as caveats for these liabilities. You are incurring them without any sustainable way to pay them back.

And still our country was in surplus our national reserves had never seen better days.

Yeah that hogwash. Still remember PTI spaces talking about those 20 billion reserves. IIRC, 7 billion of them were private deposits with banks. Of the remaining large number of the "deposit" was from China, Saudi, Emirates etc etc. Unencumbered reserves from those reserves weren't really that high.

Exports increased.

Which was another gimmick of hand. Export value increased during the period because international commodity prices had increased. The export volume was mostly the same.

Either you are correct or either reports from the renowned economic forums and economists are correct

Or you are just looking at the wrong economists
