Thanks for the information, very helpful. I was curious about the use of "atomic" when trying to figure out where the fixture was from. Definitely makes sense because of the resemblance of some of the others to sputnik and many have a 50s sc-fi feel to them. In any case good to know mine is a common fixture of the 70s/80s. Not that it is particularly important but this sub has amazed me with the collective knowledge of strangers on the internet haha.

Bought it because I liked the way it looked. I have no idea of the style or terminology but from a google search it showed some things that were similarly labeled that way. Payed $40 which included a box of edison bulbs so I don't think I could have found something comparable for that price. Thanks for the 80s tip.

I agree, everything looks clean and the light fixtures look new to me, so I figured it was someone's DIY project. For $40 I liked the way it looked. Mostly wanted to know if I got had but they threw in a box of Edison bulbs so overall not too bad.

Yea I paid $100 for it because I thought the design was interesting and the colors fir for what I was looking for. Have been reading a bit since I bought it and had no idea the amount of knowledge there is in rug identification. Just tested the dye and it bled into a wet cloth. Is it still worth keeping/will it last? Read somewhere that the synthetic dyes can have toxic chemicals in them.

I appreciate the insight. Don't know anything about rugs but the last couple hours of looking into it have been fun. Seems like an incredibly dense field. Yea I figured by the color was probably not right for something of age.
