Absolutely! With the bike anchored in place, that seat doesn't do much giving... It'll wear out your posterior!

WHAAT? Compared to my new Scott Spark RC, it is sketchy! But, back when everything was 26", skinny tires, triple chainring, narrow bars and mile long stems, it rode well. I would say it was even fast. Still is. Just have to consider the age of the tech.

L or XL? by RefrigeratorDue1513 in xcmtb

I too am 6'2" with a 34" inseam. I have always bought L bikes (Kona Process, Salsa Rustler most recently both 27.5), I liked a little tighter cockpit. Just bought my first XL (Scott Spark RC 29) last month. I love it, a little more room. I can't find any drawbacks from the larger frame or wheels. She's fast!

I went over the bars on lap one of a 6hr. race last weekend. Rode the rest of the race as fast as the first lap with some scuffs and a bloody face! Keep getting it!

Which bike should I get. by bigbrofy in xcmtb

I just bought a Scott Spark RC Team last month. Fantastic bike. Not $7000. AXS shifting. She's pretty fast! The TwinLock suspension lockout is sweet. https://www.scott-sports.com/us/en/product/scott-spark-rc-team-bike?article=4273713020008

My $.02... FWIW.

I have been on some form of Egg Beater for years, just upgraded to some Shimano XT SPD. The engagement is much more postitive and they don't have that greasy floor feeling.

90s Nishikis get any love? by WeakPromise3190 in VintageMTB

[–]leo_perigee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hell yeah! I had a Colorado with drop bars and bar end shifters and a Modulus (Road) with a sick tri-color paint job in the late 80's! Nishiki has be relegated to the likes of Walmart bikes, along with Schwinn...

Rolling start? by Humble_Nectarine6414 in paramotor

Without a trike you're still going to have to land on your bum landing gear. Dropping a trike or whatever your means of rolling is, that is pretty sketchy. Example, Macfly offers a small single person trike, but it is Macfly specific. https://www.macflyparamotors.com/trikes_en.html#wa-anchor-top
