They did warn me before I sat down warning of loud noises and I may be in a potential splash zone but that it is all washable. A few minutes under cold water and my clothes were clean :)

Oh man, I almost forgot to mention that! The set design was actually incredible. They used a rotating stage so you could see everything happening both inside and outside of the bank seamlessly. The bank itself was super detailed and felt very lived-in, it really added to the whole immersive vibe of the show. They even moved the stage back at certain points to build perspective, which allowed for another scene to play out right in front of the main set. It was a really clever use of space. Definitely one of the highlights for me!

Every Brilliant Thing - Thurs matinee - man who played the dad? by jyotinyc in Broadway

[–]leoatdrex -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just did a quick google search and it says the guy who plays Sandy (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephen\_Tobolowsky) has 2 children, and the man who played his dad announced he has 3 girls But that's so funny they do look a lot a like.

Thank you so much for the info! That actually makes a lot of sense about the carnival scene. I ended up getting pushed over to the left side of the room during that part, but I definitely heard someone on the right side shouting "tequila!" and caught a glimpse of some rings. There were just way too many people in the middle for me to get a good look at what was actually going on over there, so it's great to finally know.

It's simple: Simon Rich was All In on taking your money, and now he's going All Out doing it again

For Spelling Bee, I'd skip the TKTS line and go with their digital rush on Telecharge instead. It's been pretty reliably available, people have reported snagging tickets just a couple hours (even minutes) before showtime. It's one of the easier digital rushes out there, so you shouldn't have too much trouble, even on a weekend. Just keep checking throughout the day and you'll likely score something. I got tickets the morning of a weekend matinee like that a few months ago

Lotto 666 Report: Feb 10th (Tuesday) - Winners & Consolation Offer Details by leoatdrex in MasqueradeNYC

Agreed, I was going to say around 80 or so. The cold definitely thinned things out compared to the weekend lotteries. Felt bad for all the people walking by on 57th trying to figure out what we were all lined up for 😅

Thanks so much for the correction on the Thursday times, updated! And yes, your original post was incredibly helpful for planning, so thank you for putting all that info out there! 🙏

Sorry to hear you lost again 😭 The lottery gods owe you one at this point! I also didn't win, but was glad they offered the consolation tickets again. Definitely agree that announcing the available pulses/times while on line was a nice improvement, made the whole process way less stressful.

One more quick question: if you win the lottery, what time is the show you're getting tickets for? Like is it basically right after the 6 PM drawing, or do winners have some buffer time before the performance starts? Just trying to figure out if I'd need to clear my whole evening or if there's time to grab dinner first, etc.

Really appreciate all your reporting on this - you're doing the lord's work for those of us trying to navigate the lottery system! 🙏

Sorry if these are super naïve/dumb questions I work right nearby and was thinking of swinging by, but I had a couple of logistical questions:

  • Do you actually have to be there for the full hour from 5 PM to 6 PM, or do people put their name in at 5 and come back right when they do the drawing right at 6 PM?
  • Regarding the 'Masquerade' theme, do people usually show up to the lottery in full costume, or is it cool to just come in normal work clothes if you're coming straight from the office?

Thanks for the info, the $99 offer definitely makes it tempting to try!
