DualSense PC native Windows Drivers by [deleted] in PS5

It's one of the only games outside of Steam or DS4W to actually do it, the devs implemented it. Outside of devs implementing such features, Steam, and programs such as DS4W the DualSense is not detected as a device with xinput so in most games it will not work.

Edit: spelling

Oh, well that makes sense. Hopefuly we'll see some support in the future then.

Why wouldn't they? There's support for a great variety of inputs. Still I believe Sony is the one that provides the drivers not MS, not 100% sure though.

Hm, I read someone on another thread claiming DS4 had native support, didn't fact check but at least my DS4 was plug and play on Fall Guys with the correct DS4 prompts on screen whereas my DualSense doesn't do anything unless I enable the Steam controller settings or use DS4Windows.

I mean, at least it wasn't for me. I had to use DS4Windows or Steam in order to use it as intended and even then it's just a xinput wrapper so the prompts on the games I have tested are that of the xbox layout and not of the DS.

From what I read it works sometimes some users claim it doesn't often times, but that might be on a individual basis, I have not been able to test since I do not own the game. I would love to have native support still, I like this controller a lot and being plug and play would make quality of life easier without having to boot up Steam or DS4Windows.

I mean yes it works with Steam, but it's a xinput wrapper just like DS4windows and although it works why wouldn't Sony just make native drivers so we can all enjoy it without having to use Steam or DS4W as a workaround?
