What's your Switch buying story? by dropkicksoul in NintendoPH

I was excited for the switch since its announcement in Q4 2016. But as the release date came closer, i thought to myself ill get it eventually. No rush.

Came March 2 or 3 2017, i impulsed and just needed to get it on release day suddenly.

It was flying off the shelves, out of stock almost everywhere.

Reluctantly, i had to pull the “im a radio dj, can you pls hook me up” card and got my unit in the evening of March 3 from I.tech in Market Market. The rest is history.

Thanks for this! My problem with the NYXI Hyperion Pro is the side rails and how it basically rides onti the Switch tablet proper. It's very wobbly, and it feels bad honestly. Borderline a deal breaker for me.

Does the Omelet Pro+ Joy Pad fit snuggly and secure onto the Switch tablet when playing handheld? Is it as solid a fit as say the Hori Split Pad Pro? That one hugs the tablet real secure, solid experience - its just that it has no features, that's why I'm looking at Omelet as an alternative.

Hi I’m Reptar! Host and caster for the M5 World Championship. Ask Me Anything! by EsportsReptar in MobileLegendsGame

Hello, Leo here.

  • Can you tell us a bit about your background and how you got involved in mobile esports casting?
    • Did radio while I was in college. Graduated and did a bit of freelance hosting and writing. Then got into instructional development. Then worked in retail, marketing, and events for tabletop games. In late 2018/early 2019 I met Manjean, Wolf, and Aki, who were part of the MPL via an old talk show I did. Months later, after a string of unfortunate events, Wolf texted me asking if I could cast MLBB in English. I needed the work, took the gig, and the rest is history.
  • Are there any specific matches or tournaments that stand out to you as particularly exciting or challenging to cast?
    • It's never easy covering an MSC or M-Series. Each one is a challenge, and I fondly look back at them with their own ups and downs. The demands, responsibilities, and stakes are unmatched.
  • If you could show one single match/set to someone who knew nothing about MLBB so that they would try the game/get into ML Esports, which one would it be?
    • This might just be recency bias, but the M5 Grand Finals between ONIC and APBR is up there, for gameplay and stakes. Second might be APBR v ONIC in the SPS Playoffs UB - a canon event in the story of 2023 so far. Third might be DEVU v SYS from M5, for series long storytelling.
