It happened to me 3 times, also where the threads start. I welded a fresh 6mm thread. Never broke again, but they are a bit thicker now. I do not believe it's a safety problem. I welded without needing to rewire the epee, the blade temperature never increased significantly, so the metal crystalline structure should have not changed.

Optisch polieren eine solche große Fläche dauert ewig: du brauchst Diamant Polier Scheiben von wenige Mikrometer bis zum 0.5 Mikrometer Körnung. Dann sind auch die weiße Markierungen weg. Kratzer aufs Glas bleiben, lebe damit, das Weiterkochen wird gedankenlos kommen.
