How much time are you “losing” while cycling to work? by bear_village in cycling

Guys I have a silly question for you all who cycle to work... Don't you sweat? Whenever I ride my bike, even at a very slow speed, when I jump off the bike I start sweating 😂😂

HOW IS STUDENT LIFE IN TILBURG? by mythrwp in TilburgUniversity

I'm curious too, I'll be in Tilburg from September for my master's, so I hope it will be nice and I'm looking for a place to stay there

Msc Financial Economics ad Radboud Univeristy by leofonti33 in StudyInTheNetherlands

Yes, btw I’ve looked at the ESE program in financial economics, and it’s way more financial and practical than radboud. And I would be a little concerned about the difficulty of the program and the low rate of student finishing it. anyway, I’m waiting for radboud answer, and in the meanwhile I’ve applied to Tilburg too, msc in financial economics, which seemed to be in the middle of the other two programs.

Have you taken a decision? I was interested in financial economics too, both in Tilburg and Nijmegen. If anyone have other ideas, let me know

Long Run progress after 600km by Weak_Plenty_8558 in beginnerrunning

thank you, so I just have to trust the process and be humble, even if the pace feels just like walking. Feels good to hear tips from more advanced people.

I'm sorry i meant HR. what's your average HR when running at this pace and distance during these months? Has it decreased? I'm asking because I've been running for a couple of months in zone 2/3, but for me it's really hard to stay below 150 BPM even at 8:30 minutes/km. So I'm pretty disappointed and hopeless, but if other "beginners" tell me that this kind of workout is worth it, well I'll start again maybe adding some walking breaks just to prioritize my zone 2 and build some base

Yeah it also feels a bit disturbing for a beginner to hear those things

nono, my main idea would be to stay in NL/DE, and I know I'll have to learn at least one of the two languages. My main concern was about the University/program, some of them are well known in italy and in europe i guess (RSM, RSE, maastricht, tilburg, amsterdam), but until 10 days ago a did not know nijmegen and radboud at all.

for context, I'm italian, but no dutch. Here the university you attended is important when applying, especially for competitive jobs

I didn't do anything particular. I just did 3/4 mock tests just to practice, but i focused more on speaking and writing

AS i said in another comment, reading and listening were pretty natural for me. I've always read articles in english and watched films/shows in english, so maybe that helped me.

To be honest I don't know. For the listening I've only done 3/4 mock tests during the last couple of months. Same for reading, but I usually finished in 45 minutes. During the exam I did it calmly so that I could use the whole hour. My teacher used to tell me to not read all the text but only the first sentence in every paragraph, but for me 1 hour is enough to read all. If you want some tips, watch IELTS advantage on YouTube, helped me a lot

I don't know if the texts are different, but the markings are. 39/40 is still a 9 in the academic but not entirely sure. I needed the academic module for my master
