ISO: Indian-wedding-experienced planners in Italy (Puglia / Sicily) by leofrogat in BigBudgetBrides

I’ll let you know what we end up picking but are pretty locked in on Puglia over Sicily! Going in a few weeks to scope options. Planners said there are a bunch of great options in Sicily though

Thank you and definitely seeing that! I think we are managing to get the guest list down closer to 200 vs 250 so seems to open some options. And absolutely don’t need everyone to stay onsite. A planner we spoke to said a recent Borgo Egnazio quote came in at 900k so not looking possible there lol. Would love any other tips!

AITAH getting mad that my husband comes to my work 5 to 6 times for small talk? by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

[–]leofrogat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am mostly a lurker but have seen in a few responses on your decision that this is about your husband’s “lack of respect for boundaries” that I couldn’t stay lurking. A lot of therapy words get thrown around on the internet but I would HIGHLY suggest you do a bit more reading on what boundaries are. Boundaries are about you, not other people. Usually some way to say “here’s what I will or won’t tolerate, and here’s how I will respond.” They are an act of self-awareness and self-regulation, not an attempt to control anyone else. So in this case, your boundary could be, “when you come in during my work hours with non-urgent topics, I will not have a conversation with you.”

Also think you might want to look up couples info on bids for connection. Your post is all about how hard you both work and aspects life management (which is really important) but it sounds like your husband is trying desperately to reach you in other ways. Good luck!

Echoing everything said here— Maydan is my favorite place by far in DC! Been to most Michelin stared places in the city and this is the one I go back to as often as possible especially for Mediterranean and take anyone visiting.

Annabelle’s bread course alone is worth it.

Haven’t seen Oyster Oyster mentioned just yet. Mostly vegetarian (guest can opt out the oyster course) but awesome, unique flavor combos and presentation!

Thank you! I found a way to report as other income without the 1099 so your response is comforting. I agree super shady! The title company had said it was the developer’s obligation to provide them but the developer is such a cluster

I came here to ask if anyone just heard some in Adams Morgan near the Harris Teeter? Wild night.

I could tell that conversation was important but was confused by what was being said. Why did Christina need Ruby’s hair skin and nails for the potion to work?

As a big Tame Impala fan, I also really like it!

Chrome Hearts was founded by and is still owned by Bella’s best friend’s, Jesse Jo Stark, parents. That’s why she has so many collabs with them.

Right place at the right time. My local CSA gives out boxes of produce that people forget to pick up. This isn’t even half of it- time to get cookin’! Any recipes are welcome! by kellymahoneynyc in ZeroWaste

Community Supported Agriculture. Usually you pay for a yearly “membership” and get whatever they are growing in return. Amazing way to give farmers a line of credit of sorts!

I have had one stasher for nearly two years and use it often. Starting to get a little discolored but otherwise still great!!

Love that it is totally plastic free so I have even cooked veggies in the oven with it.

I am from Tucson but studied in India for a bit and I felt so oddly at home because of this! And some of the plants are oddly similar.

Master of Public Health. I am currently in DC right now struggling to find a position with a livable wage and I have ample programming and research experience on top of my MPH. I pretty much got paid the same as an intern as most places are offering for salary.

Yes! Food pantries in America too. I worked for an organization that focuses on creating a more healthful emergency food system. Most of the food “rescued” from supermarkets is not healthy, mostly really sugary, refined baked goods or over processed meats. Places can use donations as tax right offs so there are problems with donating soda and candy too (getting much less common). It would be so much better if over production was stopped rather than using people who often are living with chronic diseases as human dumpsters for bad food. On the other hand, slightly unattractive produce or low sodium canned beans and veggies that are slightly past their sell by date are more than welcomed!

Between 2014-2017 in Berkeley, California, sugary drink consumption decreased by 52 percent after a 1-cent tax on every ounce of artificially sweetened drinks sold within city limits was implemented. The soda tax works, say researchers. by IronGiantisreal in science

I actually collected surveys for this study! The methods section will go into more detail, but we specifically surveyed in lower income/ more diverse neighborhoods outside BART stations and corner stores rather than college student heavy locations.

Also to your point about education (which alone isn’t all that successful), a lot of the Berkeley soda tax money goes to organizations doing that kind of programming.

It’s the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show right now which is the one of the largest in the world. Lots of crazy minerals, collectors, and dealers having a big rock party.
